We need a score here. If we can't score on Stanford there is not much else to say. UCLA would beat Stanford by 30, and they probably won't beat USC.
Agree, ND offense should have put up at least 20 vs Stanford this half. Rees sucks, he's being schooled again by a more experienced DC.

How could the offense be this bad? I can't imagine getting less with more. We have four star guys up and down the roster for God's sake. I have no idea why Rees is so revered by some.
I'm not defending Rees in any way whatsoever because he really never should have been hired as an OC in the first place, but I don't know what you're expecting with Pyne at QB. I guarantee there are a number of high schools right now that he wouldn't start at.
The notion that some are clamoring for the 3rd or 4th string QB to solve the systemic problems that the offense is experiencing is absurd.
check the stats dummy, Defense has held its own. Stanford has just 37 yards rushing and only 3-7 on 3rd down conversions. That's the Defense.

This seems reasonable. I don’t get what Rees is doing here. But like others have said, ND in theory has a talent advantage and should be doing better.
How can a team regress this much in 7 days. I am totally baffled.

100 yards in one half against a team that gives up over 400 yards per game. I don't care if we are running the wild cat every snap, I expect much more than this garbage. Getting shut out in a half in this day and age of video game stats is unheard of.
Exactly, talent advantage means hat on hat and grind them down and block the man in front of you. We don’t have a talent advantage at QB/WR.

Anyway....there are a lot of things that "should" be that aren't. I don't really know how many more years of Notre Dame not being "Notre Dame" have to go by before it gets into a lot of your heads here. It will just go on forever I guess.
Rees and Freeman shouldn't even get to the point of being CONSIDERED for those jobs if ND was what ND fans perceive them to be. So yeah....they're not great coaches right now. Not even close. But they shouldn't even have been considered in the first place for this allegedly "elite" college football program.
