This season was progress. I get people don't want to hear it, but Coach K got his ass kicked his first 3 final fours. But they kept going back.

Good game. After that first half, you came back and made the Buckeyes sweat. Disappointing result, but overall, the best ND season since... '93?

An emphatic: YES!

ND belonged. Clearly the 2nd best. Which was never the case since Holtz.

It's legitimate to ask what might have been if the team had all been healthy.

ND is among the best and in staking distance of a NC.

MF can now aspire to do it in year 4.

That's not completely true. They did take their foot off the gas and lost the moment and the play to Smith was their saving grace.

Yes, he tried to eat clock too soon, mid-way through the third. If he had continued to mix runs with all depths of pass plays, I think they would have been better off.

Texas had the best defensive gameplan vs OSU in playoffs. By far. Additionally there DL was much better against OSU than ND. Chip Kelly schooled Golden tonight. Buckeyes were always a step ahead. Good year for ND

Great season over all, great to see the fight till the end. Upset we didn’t win but happy to be there and not getting completely blown out which could have happened when down 28-7. Team still had fight. DL didn’t get a bunch of pressure for 3Q. RL missed some easy passes in first half.

Great comeback attempt. This team never quits. They got it within one score and made Ohio State beat them - and they did, on that 3rd and 11 to put the game away. Very nice pass and catch there. So you just tip your cap.

It's always hard to butterfly effect a game. But I agree that 3rd and 11 was the moment. Ohio State was just better in that moment...Smith vs Gray.

I can't find fault. Not with Gray, Golden, MF, or the team. That was 1 major moment.

I truly believe if ND stopped them, the team would score, get 2 points, and go to OT.

The Fighting Irish gave me so many good memories this season. Back among the elite. All the reason to expect to be a true NC contender next season.
