Officially Official CFB Playoff 1st Round (Corn & Soybeans Bowl) ND v. IU Game Thread

Well, just when I've been lauding MF, this end of the game allowing them garbage points is on him. It really is a joke.

I still think Indiana are clowns for pushing for more points when the game was basically over...but ND still should be able to stop them.

As I keep saying, at least ND knows it has serious work to do vs Georgia.

ND can beat Georgia...but for me is an underdog seeing this game.

I fear ND can beat Georgia mainly on the strength of the defense. I just don't know about the O...the OL, running game, OL, and Denbrock leave something to be desired.

To come back full circle, there is also overall coaching...you can't just so easily give up 2 even garbage time TDs.

Big deal, it feels like a worthless game against a garbage opponent!

Come on, that's going too far.

ND let up at the end to make this appear much closer than it was.

I'm also disappointed with MF for that...but it can be corrected.

I don't have a line of communication, but I guess MF and staff decided to conserve energy and take the win.

The Irish stand a decent chance vs Georgia. The D is good enough to make it happen...hopefully the O can do enough, as this is where the issue is.

Absolutely the way it ended and IU isn't even a top 20 team, let alone a playoff team. The season ends in 2 weeks if they play like this absolutely no doubt about it.

F+ omits garbage time from the formula entirely. This game was over by the end of the first half when it was clear Indiana's offense couldn't move the ball

The cool thing about this dominant win is that Indiana is a legit good team but ND was too much for them to handle anyway

I think ND v Georgia is a 50/50 game opening line is going to be like 1-2 pts in either direction

Indiana is not good. Their D is ok. No real O.

ND did actually win emphatically, if we indeed factor for garbage time.

As others are saying, ND nevertheless should be more disciplined and committed to playing the entire game.

But, onwards we go...Georgia looms. I think the Irish can win...it will take a massive, peak, A game effort...perhaps too much to win 2 more?

I can't wait to see if the dream can come true.

MF coached like an ass the final 3 minutes and instead of ND winning impressively despite playing poorly now it's a 10 point game, the stats are basically even and it just leaves an awful taste in your mouth. ND never learns even when they win.
To be fair, we played those final minutes without Mills and Young, which slowed the rush.

Wrong, it had nothing to do with it, Mills was out the whole half except the 1 play he got hurt on. They coached & played soft and the rest happened. It's not acceptable!

Indiana would be 4-4 in the SEC. Maybe 5-3. That’s it.

The schedule they played was pathetically soft.

That was a bad call on the late hit that Leonard took IMO. He was in the air and had not touched out of bounds.

Great game from Faison after the drop.

I don't see this team beating Georgia.
Playing like this against 2/3 star talent and a pretty asswipe coach they will have no chance in New Orleans against Kirby and their athletes. Block like this and RL won't last until halftime! I'm glad you're all happy, for me this game meant nothing unless it was a rout! 2 weeks is when the playoffs start, we still haven't beaten a real team in a big post season game, I suspect it doesn't change.

They came into the game with a 9th ranked overall f+.

They had a top 5 offense and top 15 defense. Remember f+/these rankings adjusts for opponent quality

ND draxed them any way

MF is legit.

ND is legit.

WE got one of the very best teams in the country
