What's really impressive is ND held Georgia to 62 yards rushing on 29 attempts for 2.1 YPC, with a decimated defensive line.
The thing is ND can be better. It's not an optimal O. But good enough given the D.
For some weird reason, I'm thinking the Chicago Bears in 1986. Winning on powerful D, good enough O.
ND has a staff, players, and formula to win it all.
Denbrock has time to still improve to get the O a bit more juice.
I think we can beat PSU and Texas. OSU would be tough.
I agree...but the games have to be played.
If ND meets Ohio State in the final, the Buckeyes will be favored...but ND has a history of glory pulling off wins when underdog in big games.

I’m immensely happy with and proud of the defense this year. Indiana was shut down until the end. Only 10 points given up to Georgia. This with all of the injuries and youth playing on defense. That’s just outstanding!

You know who else won tonight? Indiana. They’ll be looked at more favorably now and (at worst) their only 2 losses were to 2 of the final 4.
Didn't even see the game; I'm on the west coast and was working. Cracking open a cold Coor's and am going to enjoy the game now.
Junior and oben had huge plays, but that was probably due to their poor left tackle, as neither made second half plays when Georgia changed tackles
Freeman is a great ceo but this was a poorly played and coached game other than the punt switch. That was brilliant
With that said… freeman has created a program on physicality and toughness that is amazing, so massive credit there.
When I say poorly coached, we had so many penalties, most blown assignments defensively, and a poor game plan offensively. But effort and physicality won

I do not believe in Drew Allar. He has a great arm, but he still can't get through his reads fast enough. Once again, ND should have the advantage at QB.
Watching now Reily with some beautiful runs. Also that throw before halftime...that was the game right there. Clutch throw. Kid is a winner. So amazing to see us coming up big on a big stage.

Reily Leonard on that late game 3rd down run outrunning all those Georgia 5 stars lol. He hurdles over Georgia's all American defender and flipped in the air...wow. He is unorthodox but far more than a game manager.

Just to (I assume) close the book on it, I did a little looking around and it appears that the 4th down switch was legal due to the center not putting his hand on the ball and the team becoming set.
Makes huge plays with his feet. Still think we’re going to need more from the passing game to win a natty. We essentially got 14 pts from ST/D. There’s going to be a time where ND will need to score 28+ and be a threat in the air. Hasn’t happened yet so who knows, maybe the D continues to hold it down.
