Officially Official Sugar Bowl ND v. UGA Game Thread

But if ND makes it all the way and faces Ohio St. Leonard and the offense better be able to put up more than 23 points, unless the D can hold their high powered offense down.

I can be no other way than the current identity.

Elite D.

Good enough O that has to stay disciplined, especially Denbrock...who still hasn't called an optimal game.

Solid special teams.

X factors; Marcus Freeman has the Irish as tough and inspired as Holtz and coaches of old...he joins them if he pulls this off.

We looked awesome tonight. No doubt

The thing is ND can be better. It's not an optimal O. But good enough given the D.

For some weird reason, I'm thinking the Chicago Bears in 1986. Winning on powerful D, good enough O.

ND has a staff, players, and formula to win it all.

Denbrock has time to still improve to get the O a bit more juice.

I’m immensely happy with and proud of the defense this year. Indiana was shut down until the end. Only 10 points given up to Georgia. This with all of the injuries and youth playing on defense. That’s just outstanding!

Then you look at the OL and it’s the same thing. So to be at the top of the stat rankings in so many categories is amazing. Tremendous job by Freeman and this coaching staff.

You know who else won tonight? Indiana. They’ll be looked at more favorably now and (at worst) their only 2 losses were to 2 of the final 4.

Get Nasty - where are you?

All the negative posts. We just won. Where you at?

Junior Hinish Freeman.....man were you wrong bruh
Junior and oben had huge plays, but that was probably due to their poor left tackle, as neither made second half plays when Georgia changed tackles

Freeman is a great ceo but this was a poorly played and coached game other than the punt switch. That was brilliant

With that said… freeman has created a program on physicality and toughness that is amazing, so massive credit there.

When I say poorly coached, we had so many penalties, most blown assignments defensively, and a poor game plan offensively. But effort and physicality won

Junior has been good all year. And had a big game today. You said he wasn't a rotational player even

Hinish....crickets

Freeman coached a great game.

I think you are upset we won 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Great defense (yes even with a couple blown plays….i mean the kids do miss assignments once in a while)

Superior special teams

Better coaching from the Irish which is huge

Team was physical, gritty, spirited, confident

Denbrock coached to protect the ball and it worked. Offense was pedestrian but Riley runs killed them. But young OL battles for 60 mins.

Big big win. SEC apologists are muted. Some posters would be pissing themselves in any type of competition.

2 wins in first college playoff is so big

Worried about Love, knee still tender and he had flu bad

Reily Leonard on that late game 3rd down run outrunning all those Georgia 5 stars lol. He hurdles over Georgia's all American defender and flipped in the air...wow. He is unorthodox but far more than a game manager.

Makes huge plays with his feet. Still think we’re going to need more from the passing game to win a natty. We essentially got 14 pts from ST/D. There’s going to be a time where ND will need to score 28+ and be a threat in the air. Hasn’t happened yet so who knows, maybe the D continues to hold it down.
