Officially Official ND @ GT Game Thread

Georgia Tech is a 5-2 ACC team with a mid 40s ranking (but they obtained that ranking with their two best players active). Those players are not active in this game. Its just a really mediocre team in a bad P4 conference and ND could only outscore them by 7 over the course of two quarters.

Alabama and Tennessee are two top 5-10 teams points yards plays etc. are expected to be difficult to come by.

ND vs the vaunted 70th ranked GT defense missing their best player is something else entirely
A football game is four quarters. Not two.

Just FYI.

You’re boring

I’m not a fan of Louis Riddick. He’s acting like the NIU loss will matter if ND wins out. Not really. Lock to make the playoffs at 11-1. Close to a lock for home field at 11-1.

The NIU loss only really matters if ND is 10-2.

What you aren’t taking into account is our history of making these weak armed, over looked QB super motivated to make a name for themselves by playing great against ND. I wonder what the Northern Illinois QB’s stats have been since going nearly perfect against ND?

I am taking it into account. You don't give teams a pass for playing poorly against poor competition. The reason they play poorly against poor competition is because they are not good enough to play great consistently against poor competition. They don't get a pass for it, their performance defines who they are in the hierarchy of teams in college football. And its not good enough.

We’re all well aware of ND’s struggles, Chase.

So Alabama/Vanderbilt is your double standard?

A TD would be nice. Rough start. But Irish on the cusp of pulling away like a top 12 team should.

As long as this game plan holds, looks good.

Bad bad series for Leonard, very poor pre snap reads….

Can we buy a punter please

RL is who he is. He just can’t reliably throw deep. Denbrock should plan around this.

He’s been ok on the back shoulders down the field. Collins should’ve adjusted better on the one. But yeah, throwing deep is definitely an issue

There's no double standard. They are the poor performance vs Vanderbilt but they are also the great/elite performance vs the #1 team in the country (Georgia) the week prior. They are all of their performance. They also have the benefit of having the #1 85-man roster talent ranking in the country. Which means their upside is insane even if they've only played to a #6 F+ through 7 games.

He does plan around this. That's why the offense is as dink and dunk as it is with little to no quick strike playmaking

Whatever dude. 😂

Not for nothing but…. Freeman coaching not looking good. Timeout before the half allowing gt to get a Fg try. Then not letting the 3rd quarter expire.
