Not even close.
Personally if Stanford beats us by throwing it all game, I can live with that.
ND is really going to struggle down there against Stanford. Most teams do. The difference between Kelly and Shaw is that David knows exactly who his team is (for better of for worse) and he calls the game in exact accordance to the skill set of his players. He doesn't try to cram a square peg into a round hole.
Just me or was Adams on top of the defender on that 3&Short and actually extended for the first?
So when we were playing the fast defenses we tried to run East / West instead of right at them. Now we're playing a big, slow, physical defense and we refuse to get the ball on the perimeter at all.
This team is ****ing soft. From the head coach, through the captains, down to the last player on the roster... They're playing like kids about to get an ND degree.

I said this a couple games ago. Said he looks like he is hurt. If so why not use the other RBs more?
O line prides itself on being physical.......I don't think our O line knows the definition of physical.
Absolutely have to score this series. Wish our offense would wake the hell up. “NFL O Line” my ass. Act like it. Play pissed.
Unfortunately it’s shocking that we all see this but our coaches don’t. I’m sure they know more than us but damn.
Same thing happened twice. They double teamed the end and didn't come off. The backer just stepped up and filled into the vacated hole. You have to come off the damn double team and climb to the backer. We don't need to wedge block, we need to account for everyone and win a series of individual damn battles.
It's not that easy. Teams have just figured out that Wimbush is inside his head and cannot complete even screens or hitches. So they pack the box and spy Wimbush and even if they give up an occasional 80 yard TD to Stepherson ND follows it up with 10 straight 3 and outs.
Bingo. Combo blocks. This is high school stuff, remind you we have a wizard offensive line coach!
Good he's pissed. I hope he goes full purple face and yanks a scholarship at half. Those teams may have lost games but they weren't ****ing soft.

Yep. ND's soft. Mental babyshit. They have a tendency to shrivel in big moments. It's as if they are afraid of success on the field or just so pampered that they aren't interested in it.

But seriously, how does this team not “get up” for these prime time games!?!
