ND vs USC game thread

I know I sound like an F+ zealot given the nature of discussions on this forum but there's a lot of areas where F+ is weak and I'm capable of judging a team with nuance and not just blindly following the F+ system. I'm just constantly having to defend the system against bad logic and weak arguments coming from the opposite end of the spectrum on this forum but F+ does have limitations and I'm capable of recognizing those and evaluating a team using a number of tools and resources
Holy shit

What a play by Gray to end the game. He had a pretty tough day from what I recall but made a heck of a catch, kept his knee off of the ground, and returned it for six to pretty much end the game.

Plus no KVA and Cross in addition to the other injuries. The defense is allowed to have a down game and the offense set up USC pretty well on one of those drives.

He got picked on a lot. He probably gave up atleast half the passing yards. He probably got away with a hold on the pick 6. Moore is a stud though

This was a classic trap game on the road after a big emotional and physical win over Army. Team has traveled coast to coast in recent weeks also.

The Defense was bound to have an off day.
It happens.
We were short cross and Kva also.
All we needed to do was win. That’s it.
Win. And we did.
That’s what good teams do.
Very proud of this team and its coaching staff.

As bad as it was at times, Gray also made several plays in the first half and a couple of more in the second half.

Nicely said.

I highlighted in a friendly spirit classic trap game. :) That term to me means usually the coaches and teams take too much for granted and pay the price. I think MF did all he could to prepare for this. He indeed did, imploring, demanding, and begging the players to dig deep and do what it takes.

Like you perfectly said, the f****** did! I haven't seen such an ND team since Holtz. And as it stand, ND is 1 of about 7 teams that can actually win this NC.

BTW: Oregon for me slightly stands out, but ND is in the pack of 7. A lot of parity by now.
