How are we feeling about Ohio State game?

We are at worst, the 2nd best team in college football. We've all had a blast this season. You've been proven an idiot, and the laughingstock of the board.

All the time you spent, ripping apart ND......time wasted. You can't have that time back Chase.
Amen, this has been a hell of a year. The last 20 yrs I’ve entered the season filled with hope, this year have taken a less optimistic approach and haven’t been let down. After NIU, i thought we’d lose 2 more. Think OSU has a 65% chance of winning, hope they keep proving me wrong.

I feel like OSU is better than us from an eye test standpoint. And whats cool about this tournament is BOTH teams had to prove it against great opponents. OSU had to go to the west coast and smash Oregon and get revenge on them. ND had to go to SEC country in NOLA to smash Georgia. I give OSU major credit for going into Dallas and beating Texas in Dallas. So OSU is as legit as it gets. ND obviously proved what they are about by coming back from a horrific first half and beating PSU. And actually coming back a second time in that game in the second half to overtake them. BOTH teams are the best in the country and that is not arguable after what each team has don ethe past month. So I love that the two best teams are matching up. For us I love that we get to play the best team out there. We have just been perfectly tested the past three weeks to prepare for the best opponent we will face this season. And we passed each test in very different ways. We may not have enough to overcome a very very elite team in OSU but we also have enough to beat them if we play our best and maybe we get OSU just a bit off their A game. Football is an interesting game. Weird shit can happen in a game. I know the coaching staff will have the team ready. I know the players will walk into this game believeing they can win cuz they just proved it 4 games in a row ,3 games vs the Almighty Big 10 and 1 vs the monstrous SEC lol. I also know that if ND is in the ball game at halftime I like the staff we have to make adjustments to get us to the late part of the 4th qtr with a chance to pull it off. I wish we were healthy, but we arent, but the good news is its not like that is a shock, we have been plugging in new guys all year long so its not like its some shocking development. We know who is healthy and we know who we got availble for the game. I truly know our players are going to go fight their ****ing asses off and give OSU the fight of their life. As opposed to the bama game in 2012 when it was reported that our players were scared while being in the tunnel. This group is lookinng for a fight and this group wants to go fight the baddest son of a bitch in the neighborhood. NO MATTER WHAT .

Try paragraphs.

You obviously haven't watched them that much. Pay attention to the upcoming NFL draft. I'm just going by what they say.

And there's a reason Sark-Texas went wide on their 2nd play - after getting totally stuffed on the first play on the one yard line - late in the 4th quarter. They weren't going to get in trying to run inside on OSU and he all but said that after the game
You were in four down territory. They were waiting for a sweep or something on second down which is why you try another straight shot on second.

This game feels like one of those where we'll be hanging on for dear life, trying to keep up with and match them blow for blow. It could be a competitive, close game, or we could get blown out by 20.

But here's the thing. I feel great about it for some odd reason. I believe its because for the first time in 20 years, I feel like we have a coaching staff that will have this team focused and prepared for the biggest stage. This isn't a Kelly, Weiss, Willingham, Davie type situation anymore. Freeman will have these guys ready to punch the buckeyes in the teeth.

Either way, I'm stoked.

But if we lose by more than a field goal, we'll probably end up about 5th in the final poll.

Well it seems like most everyone is enjoying this fine playoff run, even though some of you are still clinging to that bowls/polls mentality, about who's the 'best' team or not. And there is no such thing, it doesn't exist. There's just winners and losers of individual games, and the glory that comes with such triumphs. We're not better than UGA, they're not better than us. But we did beat them and that's all that ever matters. And eventually we'll get to the point where those philosophical phantoms are drained from our collective psyches as CFB fans, but we're not there yet, it's only the first year.

So when we beat tOSU we don't want to cheapen it with irrelevant proclamations that we're the 'best' team. We'll merely be the champions. And that's all anyone ever wants to be. Because that's reality. All the rest is fantasy.

If i was a betting man i would take OSU at -10. The fact that the line is down to -8 i'm REALLY taking OSU for easy money.
Why? Your lord and savior SP+ predicts a 5.9pt win for OSU. The line is being adjusted. Good luck on your -10 tho.

OSU has the massive talent advantage, they are healthier, and they are up significantly in F+ (SP+ & FEI combined) by at least 8 points (i forgot the exact formula to get the point translation).

ND has no chance. the only question is how big will the loss be by IMO.

However, as I have said many times, in college football, anything is possible over a single 4 quarter game. I hope ND wins. But I can't start mixing up my evaluation criteria when it comes to predicting the outcome of games simply because its Notre Dame involved.
