What are your thoughts about our matchup with Ohio State

To answer the OP.......I don't expect Notre Dame to win this game. Every metric except for one is dialed in against the Irish. That one metric is "heart"....aka "I don't know how to lose as the U Dog....therefore I refuse to lose". I think its the same metric that NIU used when it rolled into South Bend...and took down the Irish....and for the same reasons: "We will earn our respect, and take every ounce of it after we do." Notre Dame is NIU on Monday night. I know.....many see it differently, but the experts? Well....they see this game just like the NIU game as far as results are concerned. We don't have to roll the dice.....we need to load them.

I'm similar in thought Harpo. I know Ohio State should win and I'm nervous but at the same time something in my mind keeps battling the doubt. The coaches have been phenomenal and the players have been warriors. A team that is no longer passing the flu around shows up Monday night full of energy and enough resolve to will an Irish victory. It's time to put this narrative to rest, you can win at Notre Dame.

A healthy ND would have great depth, especially on defense.

I think a healthy ND would win.

Let’s hope they rise to the occasion

whoever wins the turnover battle basically wins the game. Riley should have a field day running the ball for the first time in a long time ND`s O-line will not be out matched in weight or talent . Moore will match up against their wide outs, but OSU will pick on Christian who tends to get a little to hands on even those are marginal calls that can go either way. The SEC crew refs will let them play which is a good thing because ND is more physical than OSU .
This will be a special teams or turnover margin game. Love is a home run hitter when he is at full strength so let`s hope for the best. I hope Riley hits those underneath crossing patterns to the tight end or Faison instead of forcing it into coverage. Misdirection jet sweeps seem to be highly effective or any misdirection play will work versus off tackle left and off tackle right even though this seems to be the norm. ND should have a trick play or two other than a fake punt. Run Love out of the wildcat on zone read plays

Notre Dame wins 27-17. The score came to me in a dream last night. INT on Georgia's first possession is run back to the Georgia 30 and leads to ND's opening TD. Go Irish!

I too think RL can run on OSU; he ran effectively against Georgia. This team just beat Georgia and PSU; I don't buy the media narrative that OSU is some juggernaut when they just recently lost to Michigan and had several close wins this year.
