What are the odds that price transfers?

i feel like the TE room is very good as well. Everything always comes down to health. I feel like the Edge could be elite if there are no major injuries next season.
I would say TE would be in the very good category but Cooper Flanagan will probably be out the whole season. We have Raridon and other guys who haven't done much at all. The young Flanigan has a chance to be an elite player. He comes in the summer

Does any of this depend on the condition of LOVE'S KNEE?

What sort of injury was it? A sprain? A ligament tear that didn't require surgery? MCL? ACL? Loose cartilage? Is it likely to recur or slow him if he takes some additional hits there? Were they hoping what he had wouldn't require surgery? And if so, has the issue been resolved?

I think this could CONCEIVABLY be a factor in what Price does. If Love is IFFY, PRICE IS IT.

Any news from anyone on any of this?

I ask as I've never seen the EXTENT of Love's injury discussed ANYWHERE.
I have seen Love's knee injury described in various stories as an MCL sprain. I don't know that I have heard Jeremiyah himself describe his injury, though. I have never read that surgery was ever considered. A severe sprain can involve some tearing of the ligament, but usually non-surgical intervention (rest and PT) will allow it to heal. Sounds like JL had a bad MCL sprain to me.

We have the best RB room in the country. Loaded top to bottom

Our RB room is the best position on the team. No weak links. No misses. Best player in the country at his position and a 2nd guy who starts at 98% of the other schools

RB, LB, OL and Cb are all elite rooms compared to the rest of the country

Edge and Safety are very good. Could be elite this year

TE, DT and WR are not there

Agree and would add DE be elite if Bothelo/Traore are healthy.

Bothelo
Traore
Young
Burnham
JR T

CB depth is a slight concern, how good is Hobbs? Will the two freshman be able to contribute. Smith at Nickel is big.

Loghan Thomas as well at DE

I like Hobbs a lot and people say Cree Thomas is looking good. No surprise there as I said he was underrated as a recruit. Then Zachary and Golden coming in.

Yeah Smith was a huge pickup at nickel

Read recently they are really cross training Love at receiver. Makes me very happy.

He will always be rb1. But this i believe will make our offense more versatile and lethal.

Nothing like having love motion out to the slot, striking fear into the safeties that they better take a step back instead of forward when the ball is snapped.

I can understand why some might not like this. Until we have a guy that can take the top off a defense I totally support love cross training here.

Who knows, might make it more likely he wins hiesman if he's killing it at receiver as well. More likely to be a first round pick....

When if....he's BETTER at receiver!? He certainly has the tools ...

I am not chase brother.

For a long time I've been following this site. I agreed with chases takes on NDs ceiling until freeman destroyed that perceived ceiling when the irish took down Georgia and penn state and were 1 possession away from Ohio state late in the 4th.

I believe our irish are closer than what chase believes. I don't think we need 5 stars everywhere.

Give it up. I'm not going back and forth with another one of your handles again.

Freeman has taken ND from 10-15th (during the majority of the BK era) to 5th-10th over the last couple of years.

There's still a really long way to go to climb from 5th-10th to becoming a tier 1 program that isn't completely out classed vs the very best teams in the country.

Look at how OSU is recruiting (24/7) and producing (F+). THIS IS THE BAR. There are no shortcuts.

If OSU is recruiting 10 top 100 composite players each class, and ND is recruiting 5, there's a major gap there.

If OSU is producing a 2.5 F+ to NDs 1.9 F+ (despite only being a few places behind in the ranking system) there's a lot of ground to make up there as well.

You have to crack open the hood and check the engine (look at how the program is performing based on the peripherals mentioned above) not judge the program based on the superficiality of a couple of high profile playoff games.

Michigan had a hall of fame head coach that topped the F+ charts at Stanford (of all places) back in 2010 i believe

Freeman is producing better than any head coach at ND since Lou Holtz, but i doubt he's one of the greatest head coaches of all time in the business. Point being is that Harbaugh is an outlier head coach who produced an unprecedented run at Michigan. You can't count on on duplicating what Harbaugh did at Michigan because only one Jim Harbaugh exist. If your plan is to wait for a HoF head coach who bucks all odds and produces way above what the data says he should be producing, you are going to be waiting a REALLY long time.

Also important to mention is that after that really bad covid season at Michigan, Harbaugh's program catapulted into an elite team producing F+ numbers neck and neck with the best programs in the country for multiple seasons until ultimately winning a national title in 2023.

Edit: I just looked up Stanford's F+ in 2010 and Stanford was #1 in the country with a 2.21 F+ under Harbaugh. What a G

Now do Michigan the last 3 years vs Ohio. This year with Moore

The massive outlier that is michigan.

My explanation goes beyond coach harbaugh like chase is saying.

I feel like michigan strengths, interior DL. Run the ball down your throat, TEs...etc etc is how you beat ohio state. Ohio can't run on michigan so they try and get cute with the 5 star receivers and lose barely. Kinda like how we played when we came one freaking second away from beating them. Ball control.

Idk man . This topic pisses me off.

I just noticed that David Grimes is still on staff, in S&C.

When was the last time that ND had a true slot receiver that other teams worried about? CJ Procise?

That's michigan state. Man I miss the days they were a force. Would be nice to get them going again. Another team in the big that can knock off the buckeyes.
Nice that they let them use Spartan Stadium for that game.

Meanwhile in the actual Michigan Ohio game, UM did average 4.1 yards per carry but they ended with 234 total yards, (Ohio had 252). I don't think it was the offensive strategy that made the difference.

Tori Hunter Jr?

That ND team with will Fuller that faced ohio state in fiesta bowl. I could be wrong but that comes to my mind. I think that potent offense had a good slot.

Yeah man it's been awhile. Sometimes I wonder why fiason isn't slot

That was the one non ND game last year that I watched in complete shock.

Thought michigan was going to lose by 30 going into that game.

Ohio misses the big ten championship and then somehow gets home field advantage first round of the playoffs. Rest is history.

You need to study the F+ at each position to add to your analysis.

if as you claim you have been reading this site for this long, you should know better what chase his balls is. You drooling over his posts means one of two things:

Bryce Young will be a beast. He over pursued and his elite athleticism sometimes put him out of position but if he figures it out mentally and continues to get stronger (and likely bigger) watch out.

Stop fabricating Chase. And stop whining. “Reading this site for 10-15 years” would show a join date back then

I thought Tori Hunter was regular WR and Amir Carlyle was the slot. Another converted RB.

There's a reason why good posters leave this site. It's because of people like you.
