CBS Top 150 Players in College Football

Call me overconfident, but i don't think Miami will be that tough of an opponent. They beat Florida and FSU in a down year and lost to Syracuse and Iowa State to finish the year. I have not been impressed by them. They should have lost to Cal too. If ND picks it up where it left off, I'm predicting a 2-3 possession win.
Completely agree with you.

Hold up brother.

Offensive line just aight?

Did you think shuler was just aight when he knocked the ball out of the 5 star georgia RB?

Leonard Moore is just aight...Ben Morrison disagrees

Jadarian just aight? We're you thinking this when he did that kickreturn for a TD against top 10 USC?

Greathouse is just aight, even when he torched penn state and OSU?

Gray is aight, just a sophomore returning a pick 6 against SC and the game winning interception against penn state.

Reality is these players that are just aight, 95% of teams would kill to have them and we got them!

These dogs are proven and battle tested and come into this upcoming season even stronger and faster.
I was referring to the depth chart at running back I wasn't very clear on that my bad

Ha! I'm glad you remembered that.

I was damn close with that prediction. I was also the guy saying that "running the table" was not unrealistic the week after the Northern game.

I really have to dig into the schedule before I go with 12-0. It's gonna be a bitch to go down and win at Miami. Obviously A&M is gonna be even better in Elko's second season. Those are 2 tough games early.

You know me.....maybe the biggest homer on the board. I'll likely breakdown the schedule and find myself predicting 12-0.......but not gonna do it quite yet.
I never predict 12-0 because it rarely happens and even if it does what happens those next potential 4 games will really tell the tale.

The environment in Miami will be a tougher opponent than the Miami team itself. That said the extensive playoff experience will be a huge benefit for that circumstance. ND is a far more complete team than Miami.

The o line is elite. Leonard Moore is arguably one of the 3 best cornerbacks in college football.

Can't see how it would be tougher than game 1 environment at A&M last year, which ND handled very well. Freeman is a master at getting his guys up for tough games.

I agree about the playoff experience. I think one positive of 16 games is that guys like Greathouse or Jagusah were able to get experience or finally break out and further develop. I remember Kelly in year 1 emphasizing the need for getting a bowl game, so they could get those 15 practices. ND got that and a whole lot more.

The more times you play in those tough environments the easier it gets. An underrated benefit of the playoff run.

Beck coming off an injury & in new system helps. Still opening weekend with a young qb on the road is never easy. Hoping D and run game carry us. Tough schedule.

IMO, every team season to season is different. Riley Leonard started at QB last season, a seasoned senior who started many games at Duke. This Notre Dame team will open the season on the road, against a decent opponent, with a QB who has never taken a meaningful snap in a CFB game. That is a factor.

Should Notre Dame win? Yes. Will they? Remains to be seen.

Agreed with the previous post BUT its more than lack of experience its lack of raw-talent too.

Angeli is a low 4 star, Minchey is a mid 4-star, and Carr is a high 4-star. All of the best QB-prospects have shunned ND and signed with other schools over the last several years. ND is working with tier 2 and tier 3 QB prospects from the last several recruiting cycles.

Also, NDs best position groups IMO:

OL, LB, and CB (especially with the off-season emergence of Cree Thomas)
Look at Nico's qb class. None of them have done much especially the other four 5star players from that class.

Chase, really -- you didn't answer my QB post where you said we've underperformed at recruiting QBs. You are just wrong.

Now you are bagging on our RBs. We have the best group in the country, led by the best back in the country! What the hell do you want?!

Jadarian Price (Is the #1 back on several top ten teams) 4* #4 APB
Aneyas Williams (4*, #4 RB -- who as a Freshman played like a senior.)
Kendren Young (4*, #12 RB)
