Here is Chip Kelly and the Oregon ducks bitch slapping Harbaugh and the cardinals 52 to 31 !!
Stanford was up 21 to 3 and got outscored 49 to 10 !! What a choker is Harbaugh !!

After that Harbaugh quit and went to the NFL where his brother and the ravens bitch slapped him in the super bowl.

After the 49ers sent him packing after a lousy 8 and 8 season he quit the NFL and went back to college like Rodney Dangerfield (I can't get any respect--I will try the triple Lindy).

In his first year Harbaugh got bitch slapped by Kyle Wittingham at Utah---Mark Dantonio at Michigan State and Urban Meyer and Ohio State by a huge margin

At Least Coach Brian Kelly took his college team all the way to the championship game 12 and 0 to get bitch slapped by the mighty Alabama. Harbaugh never got that far.

I wonder why cgvr always makes excuses for his Jim Harbaugh and won't tolerate any excuses from Brian Kelly supporters ?????????????????

Please point out an excuse I made for Harbaugh.
PS look up the first time Stanford under Harbaugh locked horns with southern cal and poodle... tell me what happened and point out a victory by kelly of equal magnitude....

Why hasn't Harbaugh won either a College football National Championship or Super bowl yet? Like Mack Brown or Vince Lombardi or Urban Meyer or Gene Chizik?

Brian Kelly is not a great coach yet until he wins a championship. Neither is Harbaugh a great coach.
The Irish beating Oklahoma was a good win for Kelly--they went 12 and 0 in the reg season that year.
Harbaugh beat USC but only won 3 other games that year due to his poor coaching.

Thanks for the chuckles. Harbaugh's resume' as a player and coach dwarfs kelly's. Harbaugh established a football identity at 3 major organizations in his last 8 years. kelly has done nothing of the sort in 6..... In year one at um he eclipsed Kelly's biggest career bowl win.....
The only thing kelly could beat Harbaugh at is eating donuts.

Stupid post by a stupid man.

Harbaugh will have Michigan in playoffs i 2 years.

Harbaugh was never at a school that's capable of winning a national championship

Sand Diego state, Stanford

He did for Stanford and San Francisco that no one had done in about 20 years... Took one to Superbowl and other to a win in orange bowl. You are just little jealous bitch with inferiority complex. I don't even like Michigan but Harbaugh is a damn good coach and he'll have Michigan in a hunt year in year out starting in '17 if not earlier.

Harbaugh sounds retarded during a press conference and just odd when speaking but still a damn good coach.

Excuses, Excuses. That is all I hear from you rivals50. You offer nothing but lame excuses.

Harbaugh is a putz. His work left a dumpster fire in San Fran and will do the same at Michigan.

harbaughs resume as a college coach pales in comparison to brian kellys. not even close. to think otherwise is laughable. yeah, yeah i know harbaugh won a major bowl game at stanford. look at the entire college resume to be fair. pooh, pooh all the lower level accomplishments you'd like. i'd take former mount union coach larry kehres over anyone today including my mentor nick saban.

Hardballs is a head case and probably a cheater {note his pal Brady deflating balls, spying on other teams and Michigan dodgy recruiting} but he is a hell of coach - his Stanford teams ate Kelly's lunch.

Michigan doesn't even play you guys and yet every day there is a new thread on Harbaugh or Michigan on this board. Neither OSU nor Sparty, our two biggest rivals focus as much attention on UM/Harbaugh as you guys. Ever wonder why? No chatter here about USC, BC or Purdue. lol

Yeah, that's because he was in the NFL which is something kelly has failed to achieve. When kelly started his coaching career in '83 Harbaugh was QBing at michigan. When kelly finally became a HC in '91 Harbaugh was in the NFL. During his college career he won the 85 Fiesta, led the nation in passing efficiency twice, finished 3rd in Heisman voting, held the NCAA record for passing efficiency rating for 12 years... um also finished # 2 in the country with him at the helm. He played in the NFL from '87 - 2001 and is in the Colts Ring of Honor.... He then coached in the NFL for 2 years before becoming a CFB HC.

Since kelly’s arrival to ND in 2010 Harbaugh beat him to a pulp in South Bend, won an Orange Bowl, immediately turned a 6-10 NFL franchise to 13-3, went to 3 NFC Conference finals (setting NFL history), won an NFC championship, got within 5-6 yards of a Super Bowl win, took over a preseason unranked Michigan team, won the Citrus Bowl and finished ahead of ND in the coaches and behind 1 in the AP. (ND began the season at 11 in both polls and finished 11/12). Do you notice a climb here?

Meanwhile during that time frame at Stanford: Shaw won 2 Rose Bowls, lost a Fiesta and Rose, and won a Foster Farms Bowl….

kelly won a Sun Bowl, Pinstripe Bowl, Music City Bowl and lost a Champs Bowl, BCS Championship (where he looked lost) and Fiesta…..

kelly took over a Dantonio built cinci team and left his team in 3 years. He also spent only 3 years at central michigan. After his third year at ND he tried to jump ship to the NFL and failed.

So, Until ND he had never built a 4 year D1 program.

Compare kelly's college resume' to Harbaugh's all you want... It's ridiculous.

hardly. could care less about harbaugh the player. it's the college coaching resumes that we are discussuing. why bring up the nfl ? i have consistently pointed out that kellys work as a college coach easily surpasses harbaughs. it's not even a debate when looking at the whole picture. ignore the championships, multiple coach of the year awards and the like. stick to what fits your agenda. it works for you.

Well, Kelly has been coaching Division One FBS ball longer than Harbaugh. You can leave out the NFL but most would say winning the NFC is a greater accomplishment than winning a Division 2 (not FCS, Division 2) title. I will give credit to Kelly for turning around Charlie Schematic Advantage Weis' ND program. Weis's success at ND being roughly similar to that of Hoke at Michigan.

You're obviously impressed by grand valley state. I'm not.

Without looking, name who kelly beat to win the D2 titles, name one player on any of his GVSU teams, name one GVSU game that you watched.....

Do you know how many people attended those championship games? There's your answer to how much meaning/weight it holds.

Let me explain this to you another way. The investment advisor with 20 years experience at some bucket shop on eastern Long Island doesn't impress anyone with knowledge of the industry....

The "talentless" weis went to 2 BCS games in less years than kelly. He also was a "bushpush" from NC consideration..... ND can get the horses, but they aren't being consistently coached up....

There's the "rub".

Not quite sure how coaching a team to the college championship only to lose is better than coaching a team to the Super Bowl only to lose.

I mean no criticism of Kelly, but this measuring stick is meaningless in comparing Kelly to Harbaugh.

Possibly it reduces to an interest in the ethics at play in today's college football. Certainly, there have been threads about some of Meyer's practices over the years. Harbaugh's actions are just more current. Your comment really has no standing.

Both results mean virtually nothing when evaluating a coach; as a statistic, an n=1 is not sufficient. This includes trying to compare scores for these 2 games as well as the 2016 games against common opponent Ohio State for both Notre Dame and Michigan. Hence why I wrote that using these games as a measuring stick is meaningless.

When Harbaugh took the 49ers to the Super Bowl, wouldn't the victory in the NFL Championship be considered winning a big game? And when he got to the Super Bowl, Harbaugh didn't get incinerated like Kelly did in his title game appearance.

Harbaugh circled the first big game on his calendar when he arrived at Stanford. He inherited a 1-11 team and was 1-3 when he rolled into LA to face poodle's "dynasty" of marauding 'roided out thugs. They were riding a massive home winning streak and ranked # 1.

Harbaugh pulled off one of the greatest college upsets in the history of the game. His win as 41 point underdogs also made history.

It took him all of 5 games to make a massive statement to the college football world.

Year 6 and counting....

This is totally accurate. While the way Harbaugh has gone about recruiting can be criticized, that has no bearing on his status as a great coach.

"Jim Harbaugh talks recruiting philosophy amid high turnover"

Harbaugh said his coaching staff expects recruits who verbally commit to the school early in the process to continue to perform up to standards in the classroom, on the field and in the community to keep their scholarship offers.

"We're very much out there. We don't hide how we operate and what we do," Harbaugh said while attending a news conference for new athletic director Warde Manuel on Friday. "It's a meritocracy with everything we do in our program. It's going to continue to be that."

NCAA rules prohibit Harbaugh or anyone at the university from commenting on specific recruits but asked whether he thought he was communicating openly and honestly with prospects throughout the process, Harbaugh said, "Yes."

It will be interesting to hear what he says when he is allowed to be specific.... This is an interesting listen....

It will most certainly will be interesting, especially the way he's been taken to task for his recruitment of Swenson. There's a lot of "he said, he said" going on there among Swenson, Swenson's coach, and people in the Michigan camp.

I don't know what kind of senior year he had on the field. Nor do I know what he's done in the classroom.

Hopefully, we'll get some clarity when Harbaugh can be more specific.

I wonder who crafted that waffle for Hardballs - the guy trying to rationalize his crap. Zero for Bo & 31 -0 !

Pete Carroll is an elite coach because he has won championships at the college and NFL level. Why hasn't Harbaugh? Is he not as great as you say he is?

Why has Harbaugh never won any Championships ? No Super bowl wins. No College football Championships?
Is he not an elite coach like Saban or Meyer?

You are profound oh wise one. As a player at UM he finished # 2 in the country in 1985. He finished 3rd in the Heisman.

He coached at USD and won back to back league titles in 3 years. He has the highest wining percentage in that school's history and is considered their greatest HC ever. I don't believe USD will ever win a NC. Your question is moot.

He then took over a 1-11 Stanford team and turned them into a 12-1 Orange Bowl winner in 4 years. That team finished # 4 in the country. Post Harbaugh, Stanford is now considered an annual power with a defined style of physical football that is close to championship caliber.

He also has beaten a # 1 southern cal team which may be among the greatest coached games ever....

I believe the highest ranked game time team that kelly has beaten is # 8 Oklahoma. We were # 5.

What is kelly's biggest upset win at ND?

Harbaugh also beat our underachiever to an absolute pulp head to head in South Bend. He toyed with him like a cat playing with a mouse... I mean rat.

At the time Harbaugh was at USD and Stanford, did you think that USD and Stanford had BCS/NC caliber programs?

If "yes", why?

He has done more with less than kelly.

However, kelly would be a better sidekick to Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble with that blockhead of his.

He then went to 3 consecutive NFC title games winning 1 and losing in the final moments of a Super Bowl.

He has more major bowl wins than kelly as a player and as a head coach. Harbaugh is currently building a machine which will look like Stanford on steroids. We still can't return a punt.

What makes you think kelly is a better football mind than Harbaugh?

Here'as a bet. I'm giving you a 5 year head start.

I say Harbaugh will win an national championship before dopey.

If I lose I leave. If I win you leave.
