Georgia fans

Why? So ND can get another loss on their schedule and have 40% of their so called fans sell their tickets to the opposing team?

Had Eason been healthy for Georgia you may have seen a drastically different outcome. And the stadium was embarrassing....but at least the university made money, right?

We played a quality opponent head to head. If this ND team played this UGA team ten times, each team would win five. Last night was not one of our five. Dodging quality opponents gets you nowhere.

I never thought I would live to see the day where a Georgia helmet was on the field at the stadium. It was almost surreal. I loved every minute of the whole long day despite the loss. I need to add an SEC Saturday night game to my bucket list.

Totally agree. Games like last night are what CFB is all about.

As a UGA fan obviously the outcome I liked. But as a college football fan the atmosphere and excitement was off the charts. To have our team get to be a part of such a historically important college football town and team was priceless. I understand many of your fans frustration, as a UGA fan we have felt the same since 2012.
Now I must say letting our fans fill up half of your stadium and turning the game into a neutral site game was a little shocking to me. Don't believe I would ever see that at Sanford stadium. With that said you guys are first class hosts, tip of my hat to you guys. Here is hoping you guys progress and have a great rest of the season.

NDSMC78 is your typical soft ND alumnus cuck. He loves having ND invaded and conquered, and having it televised nationally with lots of recruits to witness it in person.

Toby Smart, if you want to add an SEC game to your bucket list, go to a night game in Baton Rouge. LSU fans party all day, the food is awesome, and by game time the atmosphere is electric. Guys and Alice, I've been to games at TN, AL, OMiss, LSU, Vandy, AR, MS St., and while each has its own special feeling, it doesn't compare to an ND home game. ND home games are events, not just games. There is simply nothing like it IMHO. ND isn't that far off from being really good. The Irish need a few more playmakers on each side of the ball and I am excited about this year's recruits. You can call call it Kool Aid if you like. I'm old and I'll drink what the HE!! I want to drink. Go Irish!

Nah, I just like to see ND play good teams like UGA, rather than lousy teams like Temple.

It's hard to argue with someone who is dillusional to believe ND would win 5 of 10 games against Georgia...I shake my head and wonder about him. Fits right in with many of the other dillusional ND posters. Sans better defense, I couldn't see anything to hang their hat on against top teams. No speed, can't catch the ball, weak O-Line...and a QB that needs to stop running lateral when you need a couple of hard yards to keep a drive going. As long as ND plays soft...you'll get the same results. New coaches may help.

The fact that you are unable to spell "delusional" tells me a lot. We lost a football game. We lost by one point. You and the other whiners can go bury your heads in the sand. Go cry somewhere else. Go find another team to follow.

Yep, I misspelled a word and that makes the point mute. It also makes you an arrogant pr__ck. Please note I made sure to spell arrogant pr_ck correctly when describing you. Be well Grandpa!

Opponents love going to ND. ND treats its guests really well. ND let's you come in their house, sit in the master's chair and have the remote control. Plus they let you have a go with their mother, wife, a daughters. lol

ND could have easily won that game. If Eason doesn't get hurt than GA prob wins 8-10.

Please get McGarity to call Swarbrick. We need to play you guys more often.

Would love to play more often. Problem is, Mcgarity has the IQ of a dead bush and is known around these parts as little more than an empty suit. I think more universities than ever are having to deal with these admin ypes

Of course you would love to play ND more often. ND is soft and you can beat them even when you are not at your best. You totally absorbed ND's mojo. Last night was suppose to be a big recruiting showcase for ND, but instead it was a showcase for Georgia and it was all on ND's dime hahahahaha. Ya of course you want to play ND.

Any sane ND fan who still has high testosterone levels understands you want your opponents or potential opponents to not want to play you because they know it's going to be an automatic loss for them.

Whatever you say, dbag. The fact is that you are one of the sky is falling contingent around here. One loss by one point, and your season is ruined. Get over yourself. No one cares what you think.

WTF is wrong with some of you people?

I would like to play ND again because it's a nationally recognized and respected program and would make for an exciting, competitive game.

Ive read through this entire board and never in my life have a seen such pouting and crying over a competitive game. It was one freaking point and so many here are acting like your team was too scared to even take the field and its time to give up on the season.

UGA looked more athletic at every position on the field. Your own QB said he has never played against a D that was that fast or athletic, at every position.......but ND took it to the wire and lost by one point and led most of the game. and this place is 90% doom and gloom. ND had a good showing against a team with more talent. Everyone is acting like the season is over for you after one loss in week 2. I'm glad you guys aren't UGA fans.

Right or wrong, ND has a reputation of feeling entitled in general. Many of you guys are great but some are living up to that rep.

VeeDub, that's a lot of good insight. I thought it was an outstanding game, even though ND lost. It was two evenly matched teams. Looking forward to the return trip in 2019.

Don't include him in your vitriol. Long time posters have become familiar with just how loyal he is to the University and the Football Program.

Perfect storm... ND's still a huge sentimental opponent for many fanbases and once in a while we play a fanbase rabid enough to realize a once in a lifetime opportunity's in front of them.

We don't see 50-50 crowds against programs that we play often. Like USC fans or Michigan State fans wouldn't look at a game at NDS as being their one and only chance.

I'm glad you all turned out. I grew up watching and listening to UGA games. I know you all take it as seriously as any other fanbase in America.

Kinda but ND needs superstars. They currently have zero superstars. Daelon Hayes in the only defensive player we have that has superstar potential. St. Brown is the only offensive player that has superstar potential. We do have several very good players though.

Your team & school is playing a SEC storied school. They sell 40 % of the tickets and it's ok? Honestly any big time recruit you are carzy to play for a bunch of unwashed whores.

I would like to say that won't happen in Athens, but if ND fans, and I am not saying they will or won't, decide to pay near 1200$ for a ticket, its very likely we will have quite a few fans sell their tickets. But I will admit playing in Athens in Sanford probably won't command that price. But I won't be shocked if they return the favor by trying to take over the stadium.

Money talks. We all know that. One could make the case that there a lot of things about ND which involve a whole lot more "whoring" than yesterday's ticket situation.

78, I might not agree with a lot of your posts but I respect you as a poster. IMO that was disgraceful as a fan not a capitalist. I just figured ND fans were not a part of the unwashed. I was WRONG. As bad as the JETS are in NYC at the very least they are loyal. Thank GOD I didn't buy the shirt this year. F EM

UGA is my second team. My entire family who went to college went there. Love the Dawgs.

But you are swimming out of your lane. We are venting frustration at a program stuck in neutral fresh off a 4-8 season. Our coach is 20-20 in his last 40 games against Power 5 schools. And we are 1-9 in our last 10 games decided by one possession. And despite all this, we have the most expensive ticket prices in the country and an athletic department that is piece by piece selling off our history. Every loss is a reminder of where we are. If this was a 1 point loss in the first year with a new coach, I'd be thrilled. As it is, I'm disgusted.

Good luck the rest of the season. I'll be cheering for you.

I didn't like it either. I didn't like it when the same thing happened in 2000 when we played Nebraska. But in this day and age, with Stubhub, Vivid Seats, etc., there are going to be people who sell out. ND itself is not blameless here considering what they have done with the ticket prices.

I don't remember which season, but back when Golden Tate was playing I wanted to take my daughter to a USC game. She's a great football fan. I checked out Craigslist the Friday before the game, and there was a post by a guy selling two tickets. To bid on the tickets, you needed to submit a bid and a limerick about Golden Tate. I submitted my bid, which was lower than the "market" rate, and my limerick, which was great, but I didn't expect to hear back. I ended up getting a call. He ended up offer them at face value (less than what I offered). He was a season ticket holder (his brother and sisters went in together to pay for their dad's ticket application), and was using the limerick to weed out scalpers and USC fans, and he could tell from the limerick I was an ND fan. He didn't want to scalp them because he was worried about worried about losing his future season tickets. Good guy.

In contrast to that, I've known some families that have held season tickets for a very long time through successive family members, but the younger generations have lost their connections to ND. The season tickets would get renewed because families didn't want to forever lose their ability to get season tickets, and those tickets that didn't get renewed would be given away (sometimes for business goodwill). Once the tickets got more expensive, many felt the need to sell the unused ones to offset the pop. Gradually, more and more tickets sold for a profit.

I noticed that starting next year, the university to going to allow season ticket holders to transfer their season tickets to family and "friends" only if they pay the per ticket annual donation 10 years in advance. That's a lot of dough.

98, not sure how squeezing ticket holders is going to play out, considering tickets are easily available for all but the biggest games.

I would be surprised. The few ND fans that remain do not give a damn and could not even take over an ant colony.

I agree. I'm not even sure what they're trying to achieve. College football attendance has generally has been declining for the last 5-6 years.

I knew I had conflicts for the Georgia and USC games, so I decided to forego the lottery. I just grabbed tickets for the NC State and Wake games through the ticket office. I'll probably end up dragging someone to the Navy game too.
