Story now posted:

Where are all the Chris Tyree lovebois now?

Crickets now.

I was the first to call him out for being a lackluster player and received non-stop hate.

Now that he's shown his true colors, everyone acts like they were never in love with him.

Pathetic.

This isn't the first time I was right, and it won't be the last.

(For the buffoon who mentions Pittsburgh, come find me in the parking lot so I can embarrass you in front of your wife.)

The Irish have three incoming linebackers in Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa, Bodie Kahoun and Teddy Rezac. Viliamu-Asa plans to enroll early in January.

Rivals also included Cole Mullins, who is listed as a linebacker, but defensive coordinator Al Golden and defensive line coach Al Washington recruited Mullins as a defensive end. The rest of the top five includes three SEC schools — Auburn, Florida and Georgia — and one Big Ten school starting in 2024 — Oregon.

Recruiting Latest update to The Heat Index (12/6): Anything left for Notre Dame in 2024 class?

This was long overdue, but I finally updated The Heat Index tonight to reflect the following ...

Nebraska TE commit Carter Nelson being downgraded to "Mild" with him sticking with his pledge to the Cornhuskers.

Georgia DT commit Nnamdi Ogboko being downgraded to "Mild" with him sticking with his pledge to the Bulldogs.

Penn State CB Jon Mitchell being added as "Medium" with the Irish making a push after receiving a transfer portal commitment from his older brother Kris Mitchell.

To sum it up: It's been awhile since there's been any traction for Notre Dame with its late flip targets. From what I'm told, there's not much expected to happen in terms of making additions in these last two weeks before the early signing period, which opens for three days starting Dec. 20.

Our Penn State site has reported the Irish are making a push for Jon Mitchell, but that he's unlikely to flip. So maybe that's why I'm hearing there's nothing expected to happen. But it's at least worth monitoring.

Notre Dame's most interested in keeping its class together and everything is shaping up to stay that way.

Recruiting 2025 four-star LB target Carlton Smith includes Notre Dame in top five

On Tuesday, 2025 four-star inside linebacker Carlton Smith released his top five schools. He included Notre Dame with Alabama, Maryland, Miami (Fla.) and Penn State.

Per Rivals, Smith is the No. 10 inside linebacker and No. 229 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class. He attends Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances and is teammates with four-star CB target Kevyn Humes.

The Irish have yet to receive a commitment from the inside linebacker position in its 2025 class. Dominik Hulak is listed as a linebacker by Rivals but was recruited to fill the VYPER position for the Irish.

Smith stands 6-foot-1, 205-pounds and was one of the best linebackers Rivals national recruiting analyst Adam Friedman saw this season, along with other Irish targets Anthony Sacca and Nathaniel Owusu-Boateng.

"Smith doesn’t blow anybody away with his size but he is an especially effective linebacker against the run and understands how to play well within a system," Friedman said. "Smith reads running lanes, quickly fills them, and is one of the more sure tacklers in the East region. There’s a lot to be excited about when it comes to his potential and he still has room to grow."

I can confirm head coach Micah Shrewsberry is at Indianapolis Lawrence Central on Wednesday night to watch 2025 point guard target Azavier Robinson.

Robinson attends Lawrence North and Shrewsberry is in attendance for the crosstown rivalry game. Indiana head coach Mike Woodson is also expected to be in attendance. Indiana has showed interest in Robinson but not extended an offer.

Per Rivals, Robinson is a three-star recruit and the No. 137 overall player in the 2025 recruiting class. The Irish offered him during his June visit and his family returned in Sept. for another visit during the Tennessee State football game.

Robinson has 18 total offers including Notre Dame, Butler, Georgetown. Illinois, Marquette, Ohio State and Xavier.

You can read Inside ND Sports story on Robinson from the summer here.
