The time frame in which ND HAS to make a decision even if it doesn't wish to. Specifically, if there's internal RESISTANCE to walking into any conference AT ALL.

That may never happen, but if it does, I would imgine that there would be a range of opinions as to the wisest course of action. You seldom find UNANIMITY within universities like ND on issues such as how much football is TOO MUCH or TOO LITTLE.

no we can't. we are contractually obligated to 5 games in football vs the ACC for another 10 years. how are we supposed to join a conference like the SEC or BIG10 when we only have 7 games on our schedule open?

The question is when we would have to move conferences. The answer is likely never, but if it happens we just do it.

ND also has a contractual obligation saying that if the Irish join a conference before 2036, it will be the ACC.
