Like Navy, BC will come to play for 4 quarters. I expect BC to play their best game of the year. ND better be ready. The Irish defense will have to really play well if they expect to win. My gut tells me they come hard after Drew just like Navy did. That could be a big issue unless TR has plays to counter that. Gonna be a dog fight.
Yep. Going to be hard to convince this team to lay the pipe since it’s not a ranked team. Freeman said he was not able to get them up in the locker room and they were really “down” at halftime. I think a few of them could use some counseling and or anti depressants. This team is bipolar as ****.
As for the OP, intuitively I’ve always expected this kind of weather to favor running teams over passing teams. And, I’m often surprised to see teams actually do better through the air than on the ground. I think a lot depends on the field surface. If hard to gain traction, then receivers have an advantage over defensive backs; and I think DL have an advantage over the OL on running plays, and OL the advantage on passing plays. Running backs have the advantage IF they get past the line of scrimmage. If the surface has good traction, then I think the major concern For both teams will be holding onto the ball; and otherwise the conditions don’t favor either. Just my opinion.
