On the field:
2010 mich state fake fg, demolished by navy, Tulsa loss when he warned fans during presser get used to this
2011 south Florida debacle, Michigan heartbreak, destroyed by sc, Rees/Hendrix bowl disaster vs FSU
2012 squeakers over bad Purdue, BYU and Pitt teams, slapped silly by Bama over by end of 1st quarter ... game would have been forfeited any way
2013 beat up by Mich and Okla squeak by Pitt and Rutgers in the pinstripe - win doesn't count anyway
2014 team falls apart after heartbreak at FSU loses 4 straight gives away win vs NW, demolished at SC, Refuses to bench INT happy QB until bowl game ... hey wow it worked
2015 shoddy defense catches up with us and another bowl game blowout ... 10 wins include too many squeakers to have not seen that coming
2016 8 losses to worst schedule in history of ND football ... 11 opponents unranked many with losing records coach blames players for "not knowing how to win"

Off the field:
Multiple players arrested for assaulting police (Rees, Butler)
Player accused of sex assault later kills dog
Multiple players suspended and/or arrested for drug use
Academic fraud invalidates 2 seasons and lands team on probation
Record number of academic casualties and transfers
Student trainer tragically killed during practice
ND player steps on injured opponents - twice
ND captain has fake girlfriend
Coach interviews for NFL while team prepares for NC game

Tell me if this smells remotely like pride or hope? Smells rotten to me.

Ok...

A good thread to explain my strong feeling 'why' I felt Kelly was the wrong guy for ND.
My conviction that this was not the guy to lead ND was initially not actual coaching aspect related but more about the man.

After being very pleased with his hire and initial season things changed for me when we saw the USF fiasco.
I just could never get past the sad Dayne Crist saga. I could not resolve for myself that a person in a position of power and authority could so humiliate a decent young kid/man with such venom. It was simply not the normal tirade one sees by a coach on the sidelines. I could never resolve for myself that kind compassionate decent heart could have that inside. The antics/anger could just not reside in the same person who was one who had dignity humilty and grace. That single conviction was the one thing that I could not resolve for myself.

Then we continued to observe similar behavior in games, pressers and responses to fans.
There was just something. The decisions and gaffaws continued in the actual coaching aspects.

It is truly sad, because if Kelly as a person resolves these demons he has skills that could get him back to the level of coaching he once enjoyed. He may yet do it elsewheres, and I hope he does, but jmo, doubtful

Another example of your hypocrisy blaming others for "diarrhea of the keyboard."

let us know how things are going at your new destination? will you try to destroy that free forum also?

Winning was your solution, but 'failure' was your answer.

This morning ND fans are more concerned about ND's future than they are about protecting BK's reputation. That is the distinguishing characteristic.

Upset with me, because 'the truth has found you out'; but I told you it would. It had nothing to do with posters or posting!

if ND wins 10-12 games Kelly's agent will work the NFL GM's for a HC position; Kelly wants this and realizes his clock is ticking down. But I am not certain Kelly is viewed by GM's as potential NFL HC. He might be more suited for a GM position.

I think you misspelled "towel boy".cgvr,May 30, 2015

did you miss the key word, 'might'; or it does not fit your premise/goal?
well, we know he is not likely to get an NFL coaching gig; but I still think he has administrative skills. Until he fails at that, That's my opinion. You reposted this more than once and I have not revised my opinion?
Do you think if you keep posting it it will have different result?

You detest the guy in any capacity. I think the guy has some abilities in certain roles or at some other university.

Well it's obvious that you believe he has an NFL skill set.

Would you care to describe his perceived administrative skills to support your opinion?

NO, if you have a closed mind to the guy, why would I want to try to engage myself in pointless debate?

Our opinions differ.

Our opinions differ.

In other words, you have zero knowledge of his administrative skill set.
