The poll and why it's such a sham...

Oh I'm with ya...but.....
we didn't cause Navy to have 6 turnovers. Maybe 1 or 2 but most were self inflicted sloppy foitball on Navy's part.

What i can't understand is people look at a game result and then suddenly get amnesia of the previous week(s) results or only use previous results for a narrative.
Is Navy really as bad as they played against us? Are we really as good as we looked against them?
NIU would like to have a word about that. The same NIU team now 4-4 who has lost to...
Buffalo, Toledo, N.C. State, Ball State...

We got a pile of breaks in the Navy game. It would've been nice to have got a couple of them against NIU but that wasn't to be.

P.s.
Another example why I made this thread about the ignorant polls...
We jumped 4 spots In the latest poll.
I think the writers were ignoring us as we either were stagnate or even dropped a spot after the two previous solid victories over GaTech and Stanford.
Navy had a bad game, we had a good one. Suddenly they bump us 4 spots....
And give Navy the boot from the 25.
If tjqt victory was so impressive Navy should still be ranked. If Navy us really that bad...then we shouldn't have moved at all...as in trying to keep sense of the prevuous two solid victory ranking stagnation and or drop a spot.

Echoing again....if the polls weren't a sham then Boise State should be ranked a few points above OSU. Identical records, identical results @ Oregon... but BSU's last game was a close victory against a 6-1 (at the time) UNLV team.
OSU's was a close victory against a pedestrian Nebraska team. Many feel Nebraska should've won that.

Yet we have OSU continue on at #4 enjoying the trendy reputation and special elite club status and BSU doesn't.
Hard to read.

In the last 6 games

We are averaging - 41.5ppg

And giving up - 11.3ppg

It's not a 1 week thing

Navy, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Louisville, Miami-Ohio, Purdue.

A whole lot of well below average to average.

Context matters.

Rrad what he says and read what I said before trying to do your troll thing

A Texas team that CLEARLY was overrated.
They'd done nothing to deserve the #1 spot to that point other than trendy assumptions and the point of this thread.
Texas won on the road at Michigan and then had to win a few with their backup. Playing their biggest rival and then next week Georgia is a tough task for any team.

I think Texas was a little overrated when everybody was calling them the best team in the country. But I still think they're a playoff-caliber team, and will probably be in the playoff.

Texas appears to be either #1 or close to it.
