“Star” transfer QB are synonymous to star MLB free agents who join the Yankees

They are world beaters for the crap teams they play for, and then they end up pooping the bed when they come to Notre Dame.
I think you’re overstating it as per the Yankees.

So, just for the record as to guys who were big-time stars in MLB, Cuba or Japan who DIDN’T POOP THE BED after coming to the Yankees via free agency:

Catfish Hunter*

Reggie Jackson*

Goose Gossage*

Dave Winfield#

Tommy John#

Wade Boggs*

Jimmy Key*

David Wells*

Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez (Cuba)*

Mike Mussina#

Hideki Matsui (Japan)*

C.C. Sabathia*

Mark Texeira*

Masahiro Tanaka (Japan)

Gerritt Cole

Juan Soto

NOT A BAD HAUL. ANY QUESTION, CHECK OUT THEIR STATS IN PINSTRIPES.

And though he wasn’t a SUPERSTAR per se, let’s also thrown in Johnny Damon, whose 4 year Yankees stats were impressive as a SUPPORTING CAST MEMBER on some super Yankee teams.

An * indicates a member of a WS winner. A # indicates a member of a pennant winner.

I wonder if a #5 ranked OSU, Bama, UGA,

Many moons ago 0-1 #20 PSU lost to Cincy after NU had already whacked them in the initial Kickoff Classic.

The “top 10” VT team had also already been beaten.

It happens, as shown with the UM example, and google is probably a better option than one’s memories.
Ahh, they still lost. Ranked team, top 10 program….at home…with the L

Tyx for verifying. Take a lap

was anyone else a little disturbed by howard cross's remarks in the post game presser?

The defense wasn't the issue. The D is fine. They held NIU to 16 points. The defense was on the field over 9 minutes more than the offense.

The offense and the QB were terrible.

I don't understand how anybody can question what you wrote. Pretty crystal clear the defense did its job. The offense laid the egg...Freeman, Denbrock, and Leonard most of all.

I chalk it up to people wanting to debate things to death.

Where's Golson5?

Sureee you can!

Riley Leonard won the strongest arm competition at the Manning Academy this summer with over 40 D1 QBs (maybe more) and multiple starters and some from the top programs in the country

Arm strength isn't a problem. That's lazy critique and inaccurate. There's a lot right now to bash him on and rightfully so but at least be somewhat accurate !
That's a BS competition. And it's not called the strongest arm competition. You are complete fraud. zero credibility, you have been completely exposed and you can't even admit you were wrong.

I was never sold on Riley Leonard, I thought he was no better than Hartman and I was right. I knew this because I looked at his stats, I read the reports on him both out of HS and the NFL scouting reports on Leonard. I didn't cherry pick the one or two reports that said he was potential 1st round pick. The consensus is that he's day 2 3rd or 4th round pick, as high as the 88th pick.

Quit listening to your boy BD and do your own research dummy.,

Been concerned about the depth on the interior for a bit now. Haven’t recruited well there
Never saw this as a dominating D-LINE.

Never understood the HYPE.

When a team has as good a D as ND had last season, it doesn't AUTOMATICALLY get better. Some excellent players were lost. Every season is its own CRUCIBLE.
