perse, I dont think you really like it when ND wins. The USC roster was / is loaded w/ all kinds of talent. ND has had worse injuries this season than SC. SC was an extremely dangerous team yesterday. They were fired up to play and played pretty well. ND played better. BK did a great job and has done a great job w/ a rookie QB in Kizer. The ND RZ offense has been pretty dam good this season.
Is the defense playing pretty good D - yes actually they are - they made some big time plays yesterday - do they need to improve their tackling - yes they do and so do most all football teams.
Is the RZ O good - yes the ND RZ O has been pretty dam good all season.

I was touting SC talent when you guys had you're collective heads in the sand.
SC is in total disarray; they had Morris Buttersworth as HC for most of the season!
My frustration was if you cannot beat this wreck of a team then what does that say?
And unlike most here, I knew the importance of a good showing in front of the prospects; this was an ubber important game within a game.
Your criteria, Waving pom poms makes you a fan! ND dodged a bullet.
If you think giving up 600 yds in about 3 Qtrs. is consistant with good defense, then what can one say to enlighten you?
When Weis's team did that vs tOSU it was considered terrible! like 8-4, I guess 600 yrds is now a new 'good' D?

Dead heads on a ND football board. That's interesting. When I was a freshman, in fall of '76, the student union sponsored a bus to see the Dead at Market Square Arena in Indy. Bus and tickets were like $10 total. That is an evening I'll never forget even though some would say I'm lucky to remember it at all.
