Bears looking to interview Freeman

I know they WANT to interview Golden. But is he going to leave ND for that job ? Is the Rumor supposedly a done deal ? I would think golden isn’t interviewing anywhere until after the NCG.

Caveat being does golden want to leave ? He has a son who is a freshman at ND and he has a 9 million dollar buyout. On top of being one of the highest paid coaches in college football.

I think he thinks about it but gives ND 2-3 more years then goes the nfl as a DC.
Just my opinion.

If i remember correctly Golden was the Bengals LB coach when they went to the SB in 2021, so there's some familiarity with the them.

Is anybody really that worried about the defense at this point? I don't think it matters who the defensive coordinator is anymore we got Marcus Freeman at HC.

Denbrock just had a hell of a first season as OC especially when you consider the talent on that side of the ball he just coached up a top 10 offense and nobody even realizes it I'd be way more worried about this program without Denbrock than wothout the DC at this point

That was a point mentioned in the articles I read also. From reading the tea leaves to get golden it’s going to cost more than the guy from the raiders.

They prefer golden but if he says no it’s the raiders guy they will hire. Basically it’s goldens job if he wants it. So we’ll see.

Pretty sure it was the fired DC who he was close with also the head coach must be on the hot seat. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Mickens will probably slide right in to the DC job .

I heard tonight on ESPN Radio that the Cincinnati Bengals are going to make a run at Al Golden to be their next DC.

How come their are no Ryan Day to NFL articles floating around? This is unfair to ND and Freeman - click bait crap.

I believe that Day makes around $10 million at OSU making him already one of the 5 highest paid in CF
