In a podcast at a competitor site, John Brice stated that "ND gave a lot of coaches raises, and that they are committed to being in the top 5 in terms of staff pay in the country" this is exciting news for NDs national title aspirations.

Moreover, since the Swarbrick resignation and the Pete B. hire, ND has been way less afraid to speak of ND football like the billion dollar enterprise that it is. NIL is less taboo of a topic. The head coach at ND in a recent interview stated emphatically that "players are being paid and they should!". ND is talking setting the market for talent now no Fs given to political correctness or the mirage that ND football is prioritizing the education element over the results and dollars and cents that the football team is producing. Pete B. in a podcast last year even admitted that his very job hinged on the national championship viability of the football program.

ND is making progress.

ND is clearly adding head count to their recruiting and talent acquisition operation (still waiting to see improvement in terms of results on that end)

The next evolution is graduating from "paying for a top 5 coaching staff" to "paying for a top 5 coaching staff and a top 5 roster in NIL" and ultimately "having a top 5 football operations budget in the country"
