What made you an ND fan

My father saw ND and Army at the Polo Grounds,in the forties. Made a scrapbook of Notre Dame with a piece of the goalpost included! Been a fan ever since.

ndsmc is a grumpy old man who almost never has anything nice to say about anyone who may disagree with him, I would keep that in mind. The fact that he's so quick to use the "ignore" card also speaks volumes. I just let the old man be and move on to other posts
Trust Jeeaal I know of him very well I've been here since 08 and he is a complete asshole period.throws personal attacks at anyone who he disagrees with.Usually his little buddies chime in and try and triple team you as well.Ewing, friar etc. I have been watching it for years . Then after you tell them where to go they have their mod buddy wax send you to the cornfield . Seen it too many times

^^^^^Some don't wan't to admit there was a very strong anti-catholic bias in this country.^^^^^

There were many in the Indiana area especially. They rode their horses and wore white hoods. Like your favorite poster 78. That may explain his reluctance to see history as it happened. Not as he want's to remember it.
Wow, I can't believe someone would be that much of a low life to call out another poster as someone who "rode their horses and wore white hoods." You should apologize for that comment or be banned from this site. I don't care who you are, but that is wrong.

So glad we have a new staff and mods .The old mods played favorites . Plus Brian D , Lou and Andrew have all been way better at covering NDFB

  • My father who played High School football at St Cecelia's in Englewood NJ for Lombardi. Dad was an all county center for Vince who was only the O-line coach at the time.1940. Andy Palau former Fordham QB was the head coach. Dad was also manager of the Basketball team that Lombardi coached. My Aunt had Vince as a chemistry teacher.
The ND connection. Lombardi/Palau were coached at Fordham by Jim Crowley and Frank Leahy.
We went to our first game at ND together in 87. ND beat Navy. Tim Brown broke a finger.

Historian Arthur Schlesinger Sr. has called Anti-Catholicism "the deepest-held bias in the history of the American people"

Knowledge is your friend. Maybe someday you'll put down the bottle and try to learn something. Or, continue to support a guy who denies the anti-catholic bias the previous poster referred to. I understand though, I read your posts. You're really, really a very stupid person.

There is very much an anti-catholic bias and it's quite strong although I would hope it's not nearly as bad as before. I have very good friends that are like that, although they would tell you they're just being good Christians. I play nice and just keep my mouth shut.
