🔥🔥🔥.. No one here, NO ONE thought ND was going to get to the inaugural 12 team CFP Playoff Title game. If they said it, they didn’t believe it, it was preseason fan “hope”.

ND has a magical season after what looked like a disaster post NIU. Many here wanted Freeman fired, called for Riley Leonard to be benched, Denbrock the worst OC ever at ND, on and on. I was critical of Freeman, didn’t know if he could get ND over that 10 win plateau.

Well, I was wrong and I’m so happy/grateful that I was. I had an absolute blast watching this ND team with my kids and friends this year. They came up short to a team that was favored to win the NC at the start of the season. From what I found, ND was anywhere from 9 to 13 in betting odds to get to a title game, and it fell to almost zilch after the NIU loss. That was an amazing run, they played an elimination game for 14 consecutive weeks my friends, and almost made it.

Maybe some of you aren’t capable of enjoying anything, are never happy, or are just sad humans in general. Not me, and my close friends who are also Domers, we were sad to see them lose but boy were we proud of their run and the enjoyment we got as fans watching them.

Most of all, I loved their constant faith in Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Freeman said over 50 players were attending team worship groups most weeks of the season. That’s what it’s all about to me, young men saving souls, bonding, getting a great education, and playing excellent football on top of it all.

I said my peace, I’ll see y’all next fall. I need a break from this place.

Good luck, Go Irish ☘️, and God Bless..

Whether a player was one of the 50 who attended weekly team worship meetings, or a player attended no meetings, both sides are equally awesome in my book.

But back to this. Thanks, I felt the same way. A lot of nail bitting moments but this 69 year old alum really loved this team. Their grit, their pride, yes, their faith if that is what they decide in, and their love of ND. Great season. Thanks Marcus, the coaches and players and greatest for pointing this out. I too need a break.

Guys, thanks for all the camaraderie this season. What a great ride for our Fighting Irish. Withstanding some clearly angry fellow fans who sling insults...a lot!

:D

Like @NDgreatestofalltime! , I also will turtle at some point. Until next season. I like to post during the season, unless there is some earth shattering event.

I feel like I did with Holtz. Next season can be better. ND can aspire to it. Get a great D coordinator. A few more portal tweaks.

Looking good.

I live in San Francisco. People underestimate CA. Lots of college football fans...including Irish fans in this city!

:D

We go to Stanford vs ND in Palo Alto. Tons of ND fans. Everyone gets along nicely. Reasonable ticket prices most of the time too.

Our Catholic Church Men's Club has hosted college football playoff games. I don't ask if they are left or right. But plenty of diversity...but we all get along and put that 2nd.

Because most of us CHEER CHEER CHEER for old Notre Dame.

See, I prefer 3 cheers!

;)
