Notre Dame Nation:

If I am repeating a post that was already made - I apologize. I want to take a moment to relay sentiments of appreciation for the 2024-2025 football team and the journey that we all had the opportunity to experience/enjoy. This has been a season that I will never forget, and I can only say "Thank You," to every member of this team, to include that staff. I see the heart and the hurt felt by its members. I felt that they gave all that they had to give.

Call me crazy, and I understand that we came up short this season, but we will be back!!!! Go Irish!!!!!

Team fought and battled non stop. Major credit to that culture developed

Bottom line. Coach is building a roster. We have more athletes than past teams. Defensive backfield is the best in years. We can't take dudes with a fourth grade reading ability like other teams. Freeman will win a natty.

Very well said, Domer1964!

I think once the disappointment of losing the championship games begins to abate, we will recognize this for the magical season that it was. We have been close to the mountaintop a few times in the last decade or so, but there always appeared to still be a gaping chasm between ND and the other team. I don't see that anymore. We are almost there. Now we need to learn from this experience and do what it takes to be the last team standing on top of the mountain.

The “other team..” in the last playoff game Notre Dame played was Alabama and Nick Saban in 2020. IMO you don’t see it partly because Nick Saban retired, and the rules significantly changed to create more parity.

There is no denying the landscape of CFB has changed and created more parity, but I happen to think the main reason for ND's resurgence is named Marcus Freeman.
