that can't run is it seems to limit the offenses in college football . An example is Jake Coker Alabama is in this game because of their defensive front seven . I know Clemson had 2 passing touchdowns but take away D Watson ,it would be no contest .

And if you take out the turf, they'd be running on dirt.

Don't really get your point.

Take away Henry and its no contest.

Henry makes their offense go, pure and simple. Coker is average or below average, but that's all they need with their offensive Line and Henry. This will open up the passing game before this one is over.

Alabama won because they had better overall talent than Clemson . Clemson has talent ,but I just think Alabama had just more . And Alabama defenders had a lot of speed

Just one thing . The Alabama offensive right guard and right tackle really struggled against Clemson line.

YEs they did and if they are not seniors - Saban will have them replaced w/ better players next year. The Clemson D line did a great job - they kept them in the game - when Clemson lost their All American from the secondary early in the game - that killed them - they then had the miss communication on that big TE going deep and it cost them 3 TD's - the last one got them down close and then Henry dove it from short late. But, that All American having to leave the game early - cost Clemson the game - the back up and the shoveling around in that Secondary caused the poor communication and ultimately was the reason Clemson lost - that and not being ready for the onside kick.

Clemson could of easily won that game - credit to Bama for making their own breaks and winning the game. But, Bama was very beatable last night - especially w/ a QB like D.W. - what a player.

The difference was coaching not talent. Onside kick was brilliant and throws to the te were perfectly scouted.

And if the kicker had poorly executed the kick and Clemson recovered and scored a touchdown? I think people would be saying it was a bad call.

I happened to like the call, but I think your post illustrates how easy it is for some to demonize coaches.

Bama practiced that play and scouted it which is why the COACHES had the confidence to call it. Championships are won with coaching which is why Saban and Meyer have multiple championships with different schools.

I agree that championships are won with coaching. Coaches scout and practice stuff all the time. Doesn't always work.
