Lets talk PSU

Notre Dame needs to mirror what Ohio State did to get after Allar. He was very pedestrian in that game. He is not a mobile quarterback.
Huge misconception about Allar. He is mobile. He is athletic

He ran for 34 first downs this year and over 450 yards

He is more athletic than people think and he gets out of a lot of pressure and can run

Allar is the best QB Notre Dame has faced. 22 TDS only 6 picks.

Warren is one of the best offensive players ND has faced. Averaging 12 yards a reception.

That being said, PSU has struggled on offense at times. OSU forced a lot of punts as well as Illinois.

I have ND winning the game. ND will move the ball better than they did against Georgia.

ND 27
PSU 20
How do you compare the PSU D vs the Georgia D?

Living in State College and working at the Unversity, I can tell you that the current talk and the feeling I get is that PSU is not taking ND quite as seriously as they probably should. They talk about SOS and also that UGA didn't have their starting QB. I don't agree with that sentiment of course, just saying what the current buzz is concerning this matchup.

At least the fanbase isn't. Most expect a PSU win and many are saying a convincing win. I hope our boys take PSU to the woodshed tbh. Maybe its because I live here, but this fanbase is super annoying and obnoxious.

yep, you can't let the middle of the Dline part, he'll take it and convert a 3rd and 10+ that is critical

Please get RL out of the pocket more, similar to the 4th down call that was negated. He’s uncomfortable in the pocket after the first read, getting him out will allow him to run and cut the field/reads in half.

How do you compare the PSU D vs the Georgia D?
Stat wise PSU is ranked higher than Georgia. However, you should factor in SOS. Bowling Green scored 27, the ducks scored 45 and OSU scored 20.

Georgia has better players overall. I do not expect PSU to hold ND to less than 250 total yards like Georgia did.

Abdul Carter #11 is a monster off the edge. Right now he is a game time decision. He is one of the best defensive players ND has seen all season.

This is probably the most common fan complaint of every football team, at every level.
Are we wrong? Two things have to go correctly when you throw short of the sticks.

I'm nervous about the level of confidence among the ND fans. We won't be playing IU 3 stars or a backup qb+OT tomorrow.

100%. I am in no way shape or form confident that this game will be an easy win or even just win it. I am dead worried about all of our injuries finally catching up to us in this one.

Not at all. I was just pointing out that it's a very common complaint, probably because it's true with almost every team.

IMO it wouldn’t be shocking if Christian gray is the reason we win comfortably or lose a tight game…. If I’m psu, If I’m not comfortable winning with regular offense (not that they have one) I target him downfield a lot … with that said, Penn state doesn’t have the wrs Georgia, Indiana or usc had

LMFAO.

"...current talk...."

"..they..."

"...current buzz..."

Where do people come up with this bullshit.

The board hasn't talked a ton about Carter. Have to believe he plays, right?

Georgia fans were OVER-CONFIDENT as well. From the pundits on down.

When a team wins the way THIS ND TEAM HAS, there's a tendency to see it all as a FLUKE. Fact is, this ND team has won on FUNDAMENTALS, and IF IT'S TO BEAT PENN STATE, that's LIKELY what it will take.

Which means that, assuming that ND plays at its USUAL EFFICIENCY LEVEL, Penn State -- if THEY are to win -- will have to OUT-FUNDAMENTAL ND. Which they could do, though it's NOT LIKELY that they could do it by any GREAT MARGIN.

The parts we can't factor in, though, are CRITICAL penalties, turnovers and injuries.

While I see ND as the slightly OVERALL better team, EITHER TEAM COULD WIN.

Why would you care what a fan thinks?
