The Big 10 is head-and-shoulders stronger than the ACC in football competitive in basketball and though I do believe the ACC is better baseball I can live with Notre Dame playing in the Big 10

1 Trick Pony? The ACC is inarguably the best conference for women's soccer, women's basketball, and men and women'a lacrosse. It is arguablly the best men's basketball conference. It's the second best baseball, softball, track and field, volleyball, swimming and diving conference. In football which is basically it's worst sport it's no worse than 5th and by my eyes is the best conference this year by a pretty wide margin when two of our worst teams knocked out ND and an undefeated Indiana and our absolute worst team beat the school that knocked out arguably the second or third best Big 12 team. And that's without factoring in the ACC has 2 teams in the top 5 and 4 in the top 15. Pitt relatively easily handled Penn State regardless of the score, FSU soundly beat the probable second best team in the SEC and the conference just went 8-0 in non conference games this past week.

miami had a decent run... cheated their asses off, but won a bunch of NCs.... I realize their history of conference bouncing. The ACC has 2 teams in the top 5 AP/Coaches and 4/5 in the top 25 ap/coaches....

That is correct. ND is more akin to Wake Forest, Duke, UVA, Miami, BC, Syracuse, etc. Those are all small private schools like ND. ND has nothing in common with the huge land grant schools of the Big 10 other than geography.

Very true and I think ultimately Texas and ND end up in the ACC. Notre Dame because it's a better school fit and much better recruiting grounds and Texas because it's a poor fit in the dumb dumb SEC and its hatred of potentially being second fiddle to TAMU.

Nope. Eventually the Big 12 will fold up shop, their leadership has done nothing to show it's a viable long term conference. The only two conferences that make sense for Texas to join is the ACC and the SEC but Texas would NEVER in a million years agree to be second fiddle to TAMU so the SEC is out. As desperate as the Big Ten is to expand outside of the rust belt and into fertile recruiting grounds and growing economies and populations, Texas would never agree to be a giant outlier where the closest school is another outlier in Nebaska 14 hours away. I would see Texas going to the PAC before it ended up in the Big Ten.

Meanwhile, I fully expect the ACC to switch to a pod system and bring along Texas, Texas Tech and possibly Houston along with Notre Dame. Adding Texas to the already existing ACC footprint will mean a TON of tv money.

Oklahoma and maybe Oklahoma State will be rescued by the SEC or PAC once the Big 12 breaks up and the Big 10 may pick up Kansas as a scrap. The others (Kansas State, Iowa State, TCU, Baylor and West Virginia) will have to merge back in with Conference USA or the American.

We do not care about Iowa football and doubt notre dame would join a conference and if they do it won't be the b10 (probably the ACC for the reasons stated prior) and we do not like turn coats. If you went to Notre Dame it makes sense that you are an Iowa fan if you grew up there or your family liked the program for whatever reason. It does not make sense as you say I went to Notre Dame and hate the program. Something does not add up. Maybe you had an adverse reaction and needed your Binky and Blankie in a safe space. God forbid if Trump turns out to be an Irish fan because you need emergency surgery. We have people here who are Notre dame fans some went to the school other did not. I happen to like U of Arizona. But they are my 2nd favorite program. So I root for U of A except if they play Notre Dame. I went to Lasalle they do not have a football program.
