Driskell just stated on his public podcast live that ND is expecting a QB to visit Saturday. Said QB has decommited from his school and will be there Saturday. Keep the names quiet. We know who it is, but the kid needs his moment. Should be soon.
There's going to be some great competition. I can easily see this kid starting for 4 years.
The kid does not want the name released. It's not being released out of respect. He should be breaking the news soon. Was supposed to happen at 2PM. It's dragging a little, but it'll happen soon. Let's just say it's someone we've liked for a while.
Not that highly rated. Rankings are a crap shoot anyway. Still a kid we will all be very happy with. I really like this kid.

If it's only top 250 that isn't worth getting worked up about, that's right where Drew Pyne was ranked.
It's Kenny Minchey. Cat out of the bag. Decommitting shortly and OVing this weekend, he's most likely already committed to ND. Told Pitt last night.

He's a really good one. I think underrated. His film is strong. He's a solid 4 star kid with a lot of potential. Can move around with his legs too a bit. Great competition for CJ. He did well at the Elite 11.

I like the kid a lot and all 3, 4 and 5 stars are not the same...his arm is already twice as good as Pyne but, he is not 6'3 and a lot closer to 6'1...besides ND doesn't like their QB's to see over the line🤔
Again it's no problem for Georgia's qb is it. This we need a 6'2 qb is weak, are o-line is as good as there's now.
Comparing players over classes is silly. As is he was a 4 star, this guy is a 4 star. That means they are the same.

Unfortunately they're both being developed by Tommy Rees, same offensive play calling, and same trajectory.

Book did nothing against top opponents and he was already established when Rees was hired, he didn't get any better under Rees. He was pretty much the same guy his entire career.
He wasnt established before Rees got here.

Pyne is not a high quality QB. I dont care what his record is. There are other things going on besides him.
I don’t think people here realize how poor Pyne is. Besides QB we are a top 10 level team this season, maybe even top 5. He was overrated as even a top 250 qb, sadly. If this kid is even as good as his ranking (many say he’s better) he will be better than Pyne.
That goes to show how shitty rivals is at evaluating. Minchey looks way better than Pyne on film.
This and he was overrated because he was 5'10 in 8th grade and was lights out for his age unfortunately he never grew another inch in hs and everyone passed him by...he should've been a mid 3 star recruit at best!
