Recruiting Crashing

I don’t think people here realize how poor Pyne is. Besides QB we are a top 10 level team this season, maybe even top 5. He was overrated as even a top 250 qb, sadly. If this kid is even as good as his ranking (many say he’s better) he will be better than Pyne.
Given the history and what we've seen the last 12 years at the QB position, I'm not buying into the hype. I wouldn't be buying into the hype if Dante Moore was committing to ND. I want to see the development of the QB room. We haven't seen QB development since Brady Quinn was QB.

Make a call…. Who do we land as qb for 23? … maybe I should re phrase… the plan was all in on moore despite him not doing what coaches and he even said he would do… then start calling all the really good qbs we stoned to go all in with moore. They all decline and we’re now looking at baseball players
Great call

I get that. I’m hopeful that with the talent all around the field that Freeman seems to be recruiting that we will be at the level where we can win with a Stetson Bennett type guy. There’s plenty of QBs we’ve had the past 12 years that would be 9-1 or even 10-0 with this team. Book, Kizer, Golson, even with Jack Coan we would be 9-1 I think. Obviously you want a Trevor Lawrence but even a top program doesn’t have that every season.

Marcus Freeman's first QB recruit looks to be much of the same. Hopefully the kid will have success.

Bowen going to OU today with girlfriend and dad. Apparently they’re going to lay out their NIL package for dad. This is the most annoying recruitment in recent memory to be honest.

If he wants to go play for a dumpster fire because they dropped a bag of money in their laps, then so be it

That’s where I’m at. It’s a joke. He’s been to more OU games in one season than most fans get to in their entire lives. The fact that he sat through the Clemson game and still didn’t shut his recruitment down means he likely was never a fit.

Right. I still hope he ends up at ND but he clearly is doing everything in his power to squeeze money out of OU and do his best not to enroll at ND in January. Imagine giving up a ND degree to play for a losing program, just bc they offer you some upfront cash and your high school GF is swaying your decisions. Sounds like his mom has her head on straight. Funny how his excuse for visiting OU all these times was that he’s supporting his brother Eli. Well guess what, Eli is at home with mom and this visit is just for Peyton.

Oklahoma is a blueblood program.

Worst possible scenario in Bedlam even though it shouldn't matter what the score is cause this recruitment is no longer even about football!
