Recruiting Crashing

Doesn't it matter how he coaches when he gets here?
For us no. We're specifically trying to flip Arnold. If Arnold has a great relationship and believes in him, he will likely stick with them. How he coaches Arnold when he gets there is irrelevant to what we're trying to do

Makes sense. Funny though, I never thought of ND as a school that would hire a coach to land a recruit.

The OU board believes he is going to visit both ND and Clemson.

We don't hire a coach to land a recruit...

I dont know what you mean

Also why would he visit Clemson. They got a 5 star last year and basically have another one this year. Not buying that

Clemson has Vizzina. ND is one of last great programs in need of a QB. The WR class is sick. Arnold would compete to start early. It’s a great fit if he can see it. Despite the Marshall embarrassment, NDs program is in a much better place than OU.

Ok. is the best place for the kid to play early. I think he sticks, regardless of visits.

I won't say too much but it basically says CJ is staying in the '24 class and ND feels kind of optimistic about an unnamed 2023 QB. My guess is it's JA or AJ. Hope they're right about "optimistic" bc missing a QB in '23 would be a major screw up.

And landing one of those would be a major win

Love Lyons and Hillman hopefully in the next 3 weeks

I talked about this before the season. If we find out that Freeman and Rees are bad coaches (WE FOUND THAT OUT) then our record will be worse than 10-2 and recruiting will fall depending on how bad it is. Obviously the D hasn't looked great and the offense has been absolutely awful.

Trending right now to end up with a Brian Kelly type class but with a coaching staff far far far worse.

Not good

Paige probably going to USC, love trending away, lyons not a lock, no plan or good option for keeley backup, no qb, bowen probably gone (it would make us losing our top 3 commits), and in 24 our top DE looking at UM now secretively. That's what we know right now and it's not getting better. Complete disaster on the field. THanks OHIO STATE GRAD.

If Freeman can't recruit lights out, this will send ND backwards more than TY and bob davie did.
No sir

Adding Hillman to Love, Edwards, Limar, James, Greathouse and Flores and possibly Lyons would be an interesting mix.

For sure Limar would be an RB.
Greathouse, Lyons, Flores, and James would be WRs..
Love, Hillman, and Edwards would be the RB/WR tweeners.

Hillman might also play defense

Gotta keep the trend of playing better football and go 9-3 at worst to keep class intact

staff is doing really well getting recruits to commit but we have to keep them, winning will help

Notre Dame is one of the rare universities that successfully combines higher academics with very successful athletic programs.

As long as Notre Dame continues to maintain their higher academic standards they won’t be able to ultimately defeat those universities that don’t maintain higher academic standards.

That’s the simple reality of the college football landscape.

That is nonsense

We're out recruiting those schools you are talking about ! That was the last staffs excuse, not reality !!!
Recruiting is irrelevant, it’s the score at the end of the game that counts, and for the last 30 plus years the scores have proved you wrong ….. again

We made the playoffs twice and the BCS NC game once. And now we're getting better players

You're point doesnt hold up

Really, and how did we do in the playoffs against the teams with lower academic standards ?.

We’re getting better players ? Do you get points for that ? Or do scores still matter

You know nothing about football

Because they had better freaking players and coaches. Had nothing to do with the damn gpas.

Every team we play besides Stanford is a worse academic school than us. How do we win so many games?

This is a media and BK excuse. Its trash.

You don’t have a clue, it’s been an issue since Father Ted made his decision.

Rumors that Dylan Edwards is wavering. Can't really blame the kid. KSU has a good coach and good offense. Notre Dame is irrelevant and can't figure out how to utilize running backs. OC that is abysmal. Head coach that spends more time looking at the clock than talking to his players.

Greathouse is visiting Texas Nov. 12. This is going to crash in epic proportions.

Bowen
Edwards
Love
Greathouse

All likely gone. Once that gets going, more will follow. Freeman is just so bad and his deckmate Rees is failing miserably without a captain.
