QB’s, could it be that superior pro style HS QB’s

How about the thousands that agree with my assessment ?

The law of large numbers is on my side !
Well since we only take 1 or 2 QBs a year...

And theres maybe 25 QBs we even consider in a year....

Your thousands number makes absolutely zero sense.....

That's another dumb one for you

You’re too stupid to understand that over the years there have been a thousand available QB’s, irrespective of whether we consider them or not.

Yeah gals like you don't count.

Your comment was beyond moronic

And you know it. Just too proud to admit it was ridiculous

And, does the perception that ND might be a “religious“ school also factor in the decision

I believe it does. My daughter, a ND alumnus, while in grad school got to know another girl who played lacrosse at Duke. She said when she was in high school and being recruited, she narrowed down her choices to Notre Dame and Duke. Felt that ND was just too religious for her tastes after her on site visit, so decided on Duke.

Sounds like that girl was way too sensitive about anything religious.
Some people simply are too easy to ruffle.

Yep. If people think ND is too religious, they have not done their homework about ND. Students/people at ND practice their religion like everyday people - ordinary. Furthermore, nothing gets forced/required of any individual regarding religious practice. My roommate and I were not religious or Catholic. Sometimes we would tag along with friends to Mass in the dorm chapel - before heading to dinner as a group. We viewed it as bonding with our dormmates, nothing religious nor required—more of a social thing, like at any university and in everyday life.

But if you were recruiting AGAINST ND would it be used as a negative ?

That would all depend on the recruit and whether they were Catholic and/or a religious person. Obviously, an atheist would be a lot less interested in Notre Dame than a devout Catholic would be.

I guess if you are a hypocrite. How do you preach doing things the right way, your team is a family, and you are good people if you criticize people for actually doing the thing you preach. At ND, such is across the entire student body, not just the athletes. Sure, some people will misrepresent the religious environment at ND when recruiting against ND - hypocrites. This goes for my statement if you do your homework......

I believe that is true in part, especially the quarterbacks that play in the South and southwest.
I would agree, the south and USC and UCLA are more attractive than South Bend

It is an impediment. There are elite HS recruits who aren’t remotely interested in Notre Dame’s academic standards after they arrive on campus.
Every school has impediments. There are elite HS recruits that don't want to go to tOSU because it's too cold, they prefer to go to warmer climate. Other elite recruits may want to stay closer to home, some may refuse to go to a school where the position is very deep, and they would prefer to play early, and now others are going to the program willing to give them the largest NIL deal.

Well then how does osu do it?
There are certain schools that attract in state talent, in addition, winning the Big10 consistently and vying for the NC and winning it twice in the last 20 years certainly helps
