Yeah and Kyrie joined the Celtics, then the Brooklyn Nets and then joined up with Luka

So even with that one you sound stupid 🤣🤣

Nice try again but another swing and a miss

I will say that LeBron going 1-8 against Denver the last 2 seasons is a surprise.
The Lakers just don’t have a very good top eight players. Labron plays well with total effort in every game, and Davis seems to answer the bell at playoff time. I don’t think their record against Denver is as surprising as their 4-10 record against Sacramento.

They wouldn't have been in the game if it wasn't for Edwards. That was his game. He got it done. Both sides of the court

Ant has a lot of MJ, Kobe and Dwade in him
I don’t see the Kobe and MJ likeness many have suggested. I do see some of Wade’s game in him. Regardless, he looked lost and overwhelmed against Dallas most of the time, and he’ll learn and come back a much better player. I don’t think the National chatter comparing his game to MJ’s did him any favors. He should be really fun to watch in the coming years.

Who wins Boston-Dallas?

What does this have to do with the MJ the GOAT, talking Kyrie/Cavs Finals. Stay on subject.

In my opinion, Kyrie was the engine that made the Cavs hum. Much like this years Mavs team, Luka will win the awards, fill up the stat sheet but Kyrie is the heartbeat driving this team. I remember leaving that Cavs Finals thinking the same.
Cavs were 33-49 with Kyrie as the "engine" the previous season before Lebron returned.

Let’s not forget that the championships with the Miami Heat were orchestrated by structuring the team vis a vis free agency

Something that couldn’t be done when the Boston Celtics were building their dynasty with Bill Russell and Bob Cousy
Lets not forget the Celtics got prime Ray Allen, prime Kevin Garnett in free agency to go with a prime Paul Pierce & Rondo. That was the domino effect that led Lebron to Miami.

PSA: THIS IS NOT A GOAT DEBATE OR A POLITICAL THREAD

All im gonna say is how can he still be playing at this level in year fricking 21?
While it's still early in the season the dude is still performing like a legit top 10 player in the league. He defies NBA logic. When he goes off the court the Lakers fall apart when he is on the court their a +21.
I fully expect the haters to come out in full force, but at some point yall owe him atleast a golf clap of respect.
And this is how it started.

LMFAO.

Let's say the Bad Boy Pistons in their prime went out & signed Larry Bird in his prime & Pippen leaves how many titles do you think MJ wins ? MJ's Bulls team won 50 games & was a bad Hue Hollins call away from the ECF's when he left. Cavs didnt 20 games, Heat missed the playoff after both teams were coming off the Finals with the bulk of the same roster from the previous year.

Thread is literally called Death Taxes & Lebron & you just posted the OP which was about his accomplishment in year 21. Easy solution would be to get out of the thread if you dont want to read about Lebron.

Don’t forget Lebron made it out of the horrific East once in his initial tenure with the Cavs (7 years) and never won a championship until joining Ray, Dawayne and Bosh.

Exactly, he knew he had no chance without two other Top 5-10 guys. Tried the same thing in LA, those Cabo Margs hit harder this time of year!

Lifelong Laker fan and so. California resident, and I wish LeBron was somewhere else. Anywhere else. He basically runs the Laker organization, cycles through head coaches every 2 years, sucks the air out of any room he is in, and there is no Pat Riley here, like there is in Miami when he wanted Eric Spoelstra fired, to tell him to STFU.

Lebron wanted Laker management to get Kyrie last off season & get rid of Dlo maybe they should of listened. As for the Lakers they were in the lottery 6 seasons prior to Lebron. He brought them a title & went to the WCF, but go on about how bad he has been for the Lakers.

Yawn.

Whatever.

Lol you need to stop embarrassing yourself or learn the history of the NBA before you start posting. There were plenty of good teams in the East during his 1st run with the Cavs. The East went 3-4 in the Finals. 2 of losses were Game 7's that went down to the Final minutes.

rookie year 04 Pistons Gentlemen swept Kobe/Shaq Lakers that had Payton & Malone In 5
2nd year 05 Pistons lost in Game 7 vs Spurs
3rd Year 06 Wade/Shaq Heat won the title
4th year 07 Lebron takes the Cavs to Finals with Larry Hughes as his 2nd best players
5th Year 08 Celtic big 3 forms & they win the title
6th year 09 lost to the Magic in ECF despite Lebron ave 38.5 pts 8 ast 8 rebs.
7th year lost to Celtics Big 3. Boston lost to LA in 7.
Please explain which teams werent any good besides the one Lebron carried to the Finals?

He won his first ring without Ray Allen. You don't remember shit about anything do you? You just say things without knowing a thing

Bosh was never a top 10 player in his career

Wish I had the time to reside on this board and google shit all day, same amount of time Lebron has on his hands! Hope you’re in Cabo too and not the basement.

East produced a solid 1-2 teams each of those years but depth was horrific. Google it

The east sucked during those years. One or two good teams means the conference sucked. That doesn’t change my opinion of Lebron in the least, but let’s not try and make the east look like it was good or deep, it was neither.

No one can deny that Lebron has been calling the shots since Miami….it ain’t working anymore, make him player/coach

If the East was so easy why did Wade either miss the playoffs or get bounced out of the 1st rd after his title in 06? Why did Bosh miss the playoffs or get bounced out of 1st rd as well? Why couldnt Wade & Bosh make the playoffs the year after Lebron left?

I don’t see how any of those things prove the east was good, but I can’t remember the roster change from ‘06 on, but I’m pretty sure it wasn’t nearly the same as the one that won it in ‘06, until they brought in Lebron & Bosh (never thought Bosh was as good as he got credit for), plus some vets that were okay. But to answer your question, if you take the best or 2nd best player off of a team, it cripples that team. When you take one of the best to ever play off of it, it’s worse. But again, none of those scenarios you mentioned come close to proving what we were first talking about, and that is the east (as a whole) during that stretch. It wasn’t tough.

Agree. The East was not tough. At all.

MJ left the Bulls & they won 50 games without him & were a bad Hue Hollins call from the ECF's the next year. The narrative that the East was trash in the Lebron era was largely created to deminish his accomplishments. I can remember growing up in the 80's & teams were making the playoffs 20 games below .500. Nobody ever argue that the Lakers, Celtics, Pistons got cakewalks to the Conf Finals/Finals.
The NBA until recently has been a top heavy league. In the Early 80's it was gonna be Boston or Philly then it was Boston or the Pistons. coming out of the East West was Lakers and Houston then Portland.
There was some crazy stat that 6 teams had won almost all the titles in a 30 year stretch..Boston, LA, Det, Chicago, San Antonio, Houston.
