Disagree. They would be playing prevent and you can’t catch the ball inbounds. You don’t want a turnover. I think it was correct to let the clock run down and take the field goal.

The word I see is lathargic.....on both sides of the ball. That rumor of the flu seems to be accurate. However.....gotta play through that and any other battle pains. The defense actually did a decent job. They had no help in the first half....and made PSU punt the first few possessions. Riley Leonard has no answer for Penn State. He needs to sit....and come in situationally in the 3rd quarter, if he can. The ball game will be won or lost in the first possession of the second half. Notre Dame's defense cannot win this game. The offense has to do it.

Tom Allen said there will always be second level defenders with eyes on him. Penn State is too talented and we are getting vastly our coached.
