Officially Official ND @ Texas A&M Game Thread

Swiss cheese defense does it again

How about that IndyIrish24? You and Chass have your mouths full?

Ok. The D has tuned up and playing as advertised. The OL is playing as advertised. What do we think about Riley? Hasn’t really been impressive but hasn’t caused us issues

We did have a running game going there for a bit. Then the penalties kicked in.

Hopefully Denbrock has something that will work in the second half.

Halftime adjustments:

#1 NO. MORE. PENALTIES.

OFFENSE:
Establish some kind of consistency. Get your best players the ball: Evans, Love, Greathouse, and Collins.
Do both Riley and the OL a favor and have him run some RPO and roll him out a few times. He's not a pocket passer.

DEFENSE:
-Keep doing what you're doing. But Golden needs to have some run blitzes ready.

SPECIAL TEAMS:
Just don't make any mistakes.

Coverage looks good for ND. Run defense not so much. Pass D in general seems good. I’m slightly concerned about the propensity to blitz on defense. Offense doesn’t look crisp. Quite a bit of miscommunication.

Only 6 points given up on D so it’s hard to mad at them. I hope Faison is okay.

I want last years O line starters to get some snaps in the second half. This offense has to move the ball north. I am done with the left or right slants....TAMU is licking their chops on that bullshit.

Vanilla City..... I mean, can Leonard throw a pass more than 5 yards? Game Plan is lackluster at best.

Hoping for adjustments

Great coaches make great adjustments at halftime. Let’s see what Denbrok comes up with. OL mistakes were somewhat predictable, but Leonard and receivers seem to be really out of sync.
Leonard isn't the problem. It s the Kent State O line we have.

D looks good.
O needs to keep doing what’s working. Inside runs on passing downs. Scrap the WR screens on 1st down. Roll Leo out and give the pass run option. And for the love of beer can we throw a deep ball.

I think Book would have the most effective style for this game. His tricky, darting runs would slow down A&M's pressure.

Leonard is basically a rollout or QB draw runner.
You are totally overlooking the difference between the O line Book had and this bunch. Dude....wake up.

Tell our QB that he has to step up in the pocket vs Edge pressure sometimes.
