That is exactly the problem I have with the gameplan. You sit back, let an inspired team and qb get some success, and instead of having to make plays between the 20's you dink and dunk to get close and only have to make a play to score.This is Stanford's last game of the season and for a lot of their guys, the last game of their career... Of course they showed up amped up and ready to play.
Notre Dame doesn't want to win enough right now. It's not a talent issue. It's not a play calling issue... It's execution and want to. A bad Stanford team wants it more right now.
Especially hate it against a team like Stanford that has smart, disciplined players who are capable of taking advantage of what you're giving them. If you're the superior team playing those smart disciplined type of players you impose yourself on them and let them "do the math".
