I happen to think NIU and Miami have executed pretty well aside from innate physical talent.Against a quality defense this team is in deep trouble. The O line is not good; but with all the injuries no surprise. We do not have real talent at QB
and the defense is not terribly impressive either
It does question why the backup hadn't seen a seriesIf coach refuses to go to back up qb back up QB must be worse
Now that's funny if nothing elseanybody else notice how we have homer commentators on our homer network yet they dont know the roster/number/player names?
tired of a play and the broadcasters not knowing enough about the roster to name the player who made the play
after adjusting...defense is #6 in the country after adjusting for luck and opponent quality and is dominating the game.
would like more pass rush/individual playmaking on the DL/etc. but can't really complain otherwise
Whatever keeps you warm at nightWe played a top 20 team and one of the better defenses in the country and won on the road. QB, OL and play caller need to get things going. 2 step forward, 1 steps back
You're an idiot if you actually believe that.We played a top 20 team and one of the better defenses in the country and won on the road. QB, OL and play caller need to get things going. 2 step forward, 1 steps back
I disagree. Every team has a different personality. Some teams play better at home, others on the road. You see it every year with a lot of teams. Their focus may not be as good at home, for whatever reason. They've been sloppy in both home games this year. It’s just an odd coincidence whatever is happening at home vs away. Perhaps you were only commenting on the oddity of it, but I was just pointing out that it’s probably mostly coincidental. They’re not struggling because they’re at home in all likelihood.
Good thing Buffalo is not scheduled!Buffalo 17

it feels like NBC broadcasts of ND home games are 3.5 hour billboards for the universityI don’t know if I’d call NBC a “homer” network for ND.
notre dame has played 3 teams ranked way down in the 80s (really bad competition). You have to have a metric that "adjusts" for this factor. And despite the ultra low competition the defense is dominating enough to still maintain a #6 rankingafter adjusting...
good god

Looked like a first rounder on that one!and another drive dead due to RL
I guess they were looking ahead to kicking our butt and forgot about this game
It already happened. I'm not going to argue on this. It already happenedYou're an idiot if you actually believe that.
Good coaching makes up for mediocre talent! When you consider the talent gap here, this is simply not acceptable.
Yep...one good deep pass. The rest 3-5 yard tosses, about 50-50 on those.and another drive dead due to RL
Absolutely correct .. look at the entire Brian Kelly era as an example of it. Problem there is that good coaching and mediocre talent doesn't beat opposing teams that have good coaching and great talent.Good coaching makes up for mediocre talent!

all those players we sent to the NFL are mediocre right?Absolutely correct .. look at the entire BK era at ND as an example of it. Problem there is that good coaching and mediocre talent doesn't beat opposing teams that have good coaching and great talent.
You have to judge a roster from 1-85 .. not just the best players on the roster that made the NFL.all those players we sent to the NFL are mediocre right?
wow you are creative with your excuses no matter how stupid they areYou have to judge a roster from 1-85 .. not just the best players on the roster that made the NFL.
Well......there were times the talent was better than the coaching so I guess to bad it just couldn't syncAbsolutely correct .. look at the entire Brian Kelly era as an example of it. We haven't had a mediocre roster in a long timeYou have to judge a roster from 1-85 .. not just the best players on the roster that made the NFL.
