Won’t beat a good team with legs only. Got to have an arm that can throw over the D consistently. Leonard doesn’t have it. Not sure why why why they can’t see this.

That good as long as he stays healthy playing that type of game. And he has a history of injuriesin college football there's more than one way to skin a cat at the QB position.
RL is responsible for like 300+ yards and 3 TDs today
i think ND is continuing to go to RL because they believe he can improve as a passer as the season progresses and he already offers enough with his legs to beat these regular season cupcakes the schedule is littered withWon’t beat a good team with legs only. how many running QBs can take the pounding without getting injured? That good as long as he stays healthy playing that type of game. And he has a history of injuries

beating a team that is barely top twenty five is not worthy of boastingYeah
and you wonder why everyone laughs at youIf this was year 2 or 3 and RL had the same group of WRs and same system etc. i would be a lot more critical of RL ...
But this is basically like spring training for RL and this offense in general. I think there's upside in the passing game here with continued reps/experience/games/etc. over the course of the season.
Enough upside to take games from the best teams in the country in the playoff? not really .. but enough to be consistently better than what it has been during the first quarter of the season
A&M entered the season as the 7th best team in the SEC with a #13 overall SP+ projectionCheck back when A&M loses another two or so games and finishes 5th or 6th best in the SEC. If that’s your standard of good that is sorry.
Never said it was.beating a team that is barely top twenty five is not worthy of boasting
the delusion is strong with this oneA&M entered the season as the 7th best team in the SEC with a #13 overall SP+ projection
e.g. you can still be a good team even if you are mediocre in your super conference
If they are 5th or 6th in the SEC, they will be a top 20 team. So we'll seeCheck back when A&M loses another two or so games and finishes 5th or 6th best in the SEC. If that’s your standard of good that is sorry.
good godPost game interview MF says don't call passes that your QB can't throw. He can't throw a simple 3-5 out pattern, what are you supposed to call? Passes even with the line of scrimmage?
Tony Rice wasn't exactly known for his downfield passing. And he led us to a MNC.Won’t beat a good team with legs only. Got to have an arm that can throw over the D consistently. Leonard doesn’t have it. Not sure why why why they can’t see this.
show me the last time the sixth ranked SEC team was top twentyIf they are 5th or 6th in the SEC, they will be a top 20 team. So we'll see
Rice was better than you seem to remember; assuming of course you actually watched him playNice run

There's been many over the past 25 years. You know the SEC has 6 of the top 8 teams right now in the top 25show me the last time the sixth ranked SEC team was top twenty
He was a classic option QB. We were a running team. We passed occasionally.Rice was better than you seem to remember; assuming of course you actually watched him play
end of the season is all that mattersThere's been many over the past 25 years. You know the SEC has 6 of the top 8 teams right now in the top 25
you back to that garbage again?Just last season the 8th best team in the SEC was ranked 18th in final F+ rankings. (8 SEC teams finished in the top 20 in F+)
RL is not a championship QB. He's a borderline liability. Without this defense to protect him, he'd be on the bench by necessity. But he is a good runner. I don't think any OC wants him running for a hundred yards every game, other than maybe Denbrock, who just got through coaching Jayden Daniels, so that was fortuitous. But I don't know what else you're going to do but keep running him, and hope your luck holds. And with our schedule, maybe it will. I just want to make the playoff, so whatever....in college football there's more than one way to skin a cat at the QB position.

Yeah and there's been multiple such nstancesend of the season is all that matters
He did turn the ball over through the fumble but I think your overall point stands. What would his passing numbers have looked like without the Miami penalties?Leonard did not turn the ball over, had 3 TDs and 297 yards of offense. With our elite defense that may be enough to get us to the playoff. That said I wish Angelli had played more today, but for better or worse this team is riding RL.
