ND vs Navy game thread

Why does that have anything to do with it? You don’t attend and you can’t have an opinion. The ND brand is what it is because of the attending and Subway Alumni.
You’re certainly entitled to your opinion.

But the opinions and perspective of those who attended ND tend to differ from those who didn’t attend ND when it comes to discussing a Notre Dame player.

What it has to do with it is the following:

Rees played and coached at ND, AND he stayed at ND for another year despite Kelly making him a multi-million dollar offer to go to LSU. Rees was and is a “Loyal Son of Notre Dame”

As such the tone of the criticism differs.

There’s constructive and valid criticism and there’s bitching, and ND attendees tend to be in the former camps

“I wonder how many of those critical of him actually attended ND”

I’m not allowed to comment on rees’ play if I didn’t go to ND? I played a little qb in college. Am I allowed to comment? Pretty please? Wtf does going to ND have to do w/ evaluating their qb?
Of course you’re allowed to comment on Rees’s play.
But what prism are you looking through ?
“Evaluate his job?”
How about his record as a player and a coach
Below are his stats, and they’re very good.
He was 37-15 as a player, 63-14 while coaching.
That’s impressive !
Are you that successful at your job ?

it’s his greater than though attitude. My least favorite poster. He loved him sone Rees
It’s not a “greater than thou” attitude.
It’s about perspective, it’s about attacking and bitching about a “Loyal Son of Notre Dame” versus constructive criticism.

Why don’t you look at his record as a player and a coach, it’s pretty impressive.

But, what do I know about football, so I’ll defer to Nick Saban and his opinion of Tommy Rees.

And, I’ll take Nick Saban’s opinion of Tommy Rees over yours and the other Rees bashers!

P.S. You don’t have the brains to understand 10 % of my posts

"It's not the critic who counts."--Teddy Roosevelt.

Correct then, correct today.

“But what prism are you looking through ?”

I’m not looking through any prism. I’m just watching the game and evaluating the position. Your statement about whether or not an ND fan attended ND in reference to evaluating the ND qb position is irrelevant.

“But the opinions and perspective of those who attended ND tend to differ from those who didn’t attend ND when it comes to discussing a Notre Dame player.”

Lol. Made up horseshit!

Rees was average at ND, and you quoting Roosevelt changes zip on the subject.

Rees’s stats are far from average !

So there are no former ND students here on this board, or anywhere else for that matter, that haven’t been critical of ND players, coaches, etc… over the years? Wtf are you talking about?
