I'll do my best. Been a fan since the 60's. My aunt was a professor at ND. My daughter was recruited for academics. My son could have had a full ride but didn't want to attend a small school. I am seeing growth in Freeman. He's a quick learner. I remember Kelly saying we shop down a different lane then other schools. So far we are out shopping him. I like to watch things play out. Not overreact like so many do.

What have you done to research who this kid is, and what he can do besides looking at his star ranking, which you got wrong? His is a 4 star, since that means so much to you. Please answer, or remove your nonsense post. Do you know why he has so few offers? Heck just reading this thread would reveal that answer.

Actually Rees wasn't there for any of them... (well, Phil for a year but Chip Long ran the offense and was an asshole to Phil who never played, so we'll never know about Phil) so unfortunately your point makes no sense. Rees did make a low 3* Ian Book an NFL draft pick and the winningest QB in ND history. He also took a guy who lost his job to a Freshman as Wisconsin, I'm talking Coan and got us to a ten win season with two Freshman starting on the o-line, and got Coan into the NFL conversation. Rees only now has had the opportunity to coach anyone as good as Buchner (the early results were not great, but I don't think we can judge on two games) or now Minchey and CJ. I just hope Rees sticks around so we can prove your scale wrong! Happy Thanksgiving!
A QB coach is graded on how what he gets is developed more than anything else.
What would Book have been if he had Minchey or Carr's talent? What would Pyne be if he had CJ Stroud's talent? It is no secret that I am not a Buchner fan. I don't think Rees will have major success with him. I like Minchey and Carr and think there is a star in there. Probably two.

Correct. He was a scrub recruit. My point is what could Minchey or Carr become with Rees if he can develop Book.
Hard to ask for a much better QB room than Minchey and Carr. That’s an elite room.

It’s going to take a Top 5 pick or string of 1st rounders at the position for the position to hit the levels many are asking for.
I think we have two top 5 QBs. Minchey is a top 5 QB according to SI. Carr is a top 5 QB according to many. I still think CJ will move up from where he is bc he’s a beast when he competes at camps. This usually boosts you a bit. I expect he will have a big senior season. I imagine he will compete again as a senior at the E11. He has a legit chance to win the overall competition. I think we have what we need. Someone’s going to be sweet.
I definitely think both QBs possess first round attributes, but I’m talking about Freemen getting a QB or two in the top 5 of the draft on his resume.
