Miami

Miami would be 10-2. They missed a game
That is a great point. But both Miami and Nd would be 10-2 with Miami having the head to head. If tOSU loses today and beats Whisky, Whisky would be 12-1 (assuming they beat Minn) and Whisky goes anyway.

I think our chances are very slim, but it would be an interesting debate between a 10-2 ND with a tougher SOS vs a 10-2 Miami which finished with 2 losses, yet beat us by 33.

Well what would you say if the committee took an 11-2 SC over a 10-2 ND? (although ND's SOS is higher now it may not be after the PAc-12 championship game.) Would you think that was a good decision?

I think it would be close, but I think in both cases, they'd ultimately go with HTH, and choose Miami>ND>USC.

If Clemson is in at 12-1 then they look elsewhere instead of a 2nd ACC team. I think there are about 3 teams above Miami for the 4th slot including the PAC champ and UCF

PAC is out.

If Bama Wins today and either Ala. vs (UGA or AU) game is a close hard fought game then
the SEC will get 2 slots.

AU, UGA and Bama are all top 6 teams. That they go head to head should not automatically eliminate them.

The best way to look at SOS is throw out the top/low.

And what happens if South Carolina beats Clemson and then Clemson beats Miami? shouldn’t 2 losses hurt Clemson, especially since one of them is to Syracuse? And Miami would also have 2 losses, there last 2 games with one of them being against 4-7 Pitt??

Clemson rolled SC. The 8 team playoff is set.
