ND matched OSU, a potential NC winner, and took them to the wire in a big game. This was not the narrative during the CBK era.

This loss came down to probably that last ND drive with lousy play calls. The OC lost his focus and deviated from what was recently working with the OL and run game. Even my low skill Xs and Os knew getting fancy would backfire. I'll also say it was wrong to go with Harman twice on 4th and 1.

These were small margins. ND did well. It's frustrating for a 57 year old like me, as I've gotten used to losses, big and small...but in my mind, ND is the once and future champion, so it hurts.

Kudos to the players and coaches. We move on.
