What more do you want?

Boise and Navy will probably finish with no more than three losses each. Miami and Pitt are undefeated. NC State is good for 8-9 wins per year. 4-4 right now. Arkansas is 5-3. A&M is 7-1. Syracuse 5-2. BC is 4-4. USC 4-4 with a bunch of close losses. Just Purdue sucks. 9 power conference teams.

Really like the 2025 schedule, just saying it’s not death row, very manageable.

Not just that, that would have given ND 3 exciting matchups. NIU/Miami Oh, two service academies. Coming from a fans perspective, it’s been one of the more boring years I can recall.
3 to 4 top teams, another group of quality teams, and then a couple lower teams.

That's a perfect way to build a schedule

The schedule is lackluster, lousy you could argue.

That said, it isn’t Notre Dame’s fault that Florida St. and USC aren’t playing well, especially FSU, and Miami opted out this season for 2025.

Because it's going to be hard for everyone to play each other. You should root for it actually. Think of how many ACC teams don't play each other at the top. Miami literally avoided all of them.

I guarantee this Pitt is going to be good next year. So will BC with Obrien. Arkansas is a solid mid tier SEC team. And play really well at home. Boise might take a step back because I doubt Jeanty will be there but they are still going to be a problem. The easiest game on the schedule is Purdue. I'd actually prefer ND not add Stanford to the mix. Because that schedule will be hard to go 12-0. Not impossible but hard. There are no layups at all. At least based what we figure will be improvement by already improved teams. And ND could very well go 8-4.

Why is it going to be hard for Notre Dame. Don't understand that point

And what and why should I be rooting for?

People thought after the NIU game we were going to win like 7 or 8 games. Was never going to happen

And next year 8 is never going to happen. Too much talent and good coaching

A 9 game ACC schedule makes the likelihood of multiple 1 loss teams in the ACC lower. If you add one more league game. Maybe Miami plays Clemson.

The more 4 quarter battles you play, the better the chance of injuries. If ND had the injuries they have this year playing that schedule they go 9-3 or 8-4.

We'll see. I liked our chances this year and like our chances next year

Still not getting the effect on Notre Dame
Never said anything about ND. But since you keep asking. More Conference games make the chance for more losses, thereby helping ND's path to a playoff. Particularly next year when they could be a really good team at 10-2.

The amount of posters that you claim thought this was very very small.

I certainly didn’t. I never wavered from my 10-2 prediction that I offered before the season started.

A false narrative.

Not even close to a false narrative.

Absolutely true. And even after Miami Ohio there was a large number.

You are incorrect.

We just beat an undefeated team and will soon play another currently undefeated.
That’s rich. The two service academies beat up on a bunch of small schools. The schedule this year has not been entertaining. All down hill after week 1

Define a “…large number of posters …” that you now claim these posters said Notre Dame would win 7-8 games after Miami Ohio? 5? 10? 50? 100?

What’s a large number to you?

Whatever it was after NIU and Miami Ohio

I didnt count and not going back to count

Even after Louisville people were saying 7 wins. Although it got less after

After those games, this board was a disaster. Fire Freeman. Leonard sucks. Etc. All the crazies were out

Yeah you did....That's why I asked why. What's the problem for ND
Once the other conferences go to 9 games which will happen. ND will have a harder time finding a full schedule. And might end up with more G5 teams

It was crazy town here.

-Bench Leonard
-Fire Freeman now
-Shouldn't have brought in Denbrock
-Special Teams is a disaster
-Fire Landow
-Injuries have already done us in
-The OL is awful

All of that, plus more. And it was after 3 or 4 games.

I predicted 12-0, and got killed for it. Especially after NIU.

I'll end up a game off.....

You predicted 12-0. You were wrong.

I predicted 10-2.

Frankly I hope I am wrong.

We will see.

Drama Queen.

Some random poster says something, and you attribute these statements to the entire board.

Bullshit.

I saw a 10-2 sandwich. Never saw NIU being the first. So the other part of the sandwich is Nov 30.

Nah. 4 conferences ea h have 3 open games. That's like 60 teams. We only will need 4 to 5 to make a schedule

5 Acc
Navy
1 to 2 non p4

4 or 5 teams need to schedule us on a particular year. They will

We'll be fine there

those service academies quite often give ranked teams fit so only a fool would post like this

Leonard should have been benched during the game, that was obvious then, and even more obvious after.

I stated freeman needs to go 11-1(we should) to not be on hot seat. We should roll every team we play remaining.

Special teams is Not good

Jury out on landlow

He won't be on any hot seat

"Random poster"?

No way.

Several posters.
This site represents an extremely small fraction of the entire Notre Dame fan base.

Relatively speaking, no one wanted Marcus Freeman fired after losing to Northern Illinois.

This should be true

But it definitely wasn't

Notre Dame has a very large and emotional fansbase

It was in more spots than just here

I was here at the end of 2016 with Brian Kelly. I experienced the Notre Dame fan base then.

I was here after Northern Illinois.

No one wanted Marcus Freeman fired.
