....but does every major program have the drama queens that we have? You would think we've never lost a high profile recruit before.

The staff should play their cards closer to the belt........but does every major program have the drama queens that we have? You would think we've never lost a high profile recruit before.
This kid is a 2017 recruit, right? So we have like 18 months before that class even signs their LOIs? This is all the same BS sky is falling crap as last year with Barnett de-committing Then we get Wimbush, and it's like, "ok, never mind".clearly you do not follow recruiting in depth.
This was not the ordinary 'elsewhere commit'
It is End of Aug. and basically ND had agreed as part of the recruiting effort to HJ that they would not offer anyone else of stature. ND was more all in than the fans! Then there is the read on HJ's commitment to basically say he has been recruiting for UT for some time.
ND is scrambbling now to get aboard with other QB's. It can be done but it will be a tough road!
Wasn't you who said this was a big loss?I mean yall see the irony in treating a few posts saying recruit "x" going elsewhere is disappointing as though the board is having a meltdown when complaining about overreactions right?
It can be a big loss and not the end of the world. I also said ND could get a very good qb instead of Johnson but I think the staff wanted him bad and being from Indiana you would like ND to be able to keep a talent like that in state because Indiana doesn't exactly produce a ton of huge name guys.
Yall are acting like people are calling for BKs head because they didn't close Johnson or that people are suggesting this recruiting loss is going to cripple the program. Literally overreacting to posters expressing disappointment by suggesting they are overreacting... irony
What is this yall crap? Just kidding. It is hard to call a 2017 recruit a big loss unless ND fans on its attempt to bring aboard a quality QB.It can be a big loss and not the end of the world. I'm saying they can get away with a decent overall athlete playing QB.^ apparently Kelly and staff disagree with you; they keep pursuing the Barnetts and Johnsons!
Are you saying they don't know what they are doing?
If ND could ever win consistently again you wouldn't see the bitching. This kid is a 2017 recruit, right? So we have like 18 months before that class even signs their LOIs? The people like you that are fine with 7-5 will never understand people who are competitive. Changes from the administration and a new coach would give ND a shot at 10+ win seasons again. Time is slipping away.
These recruits were growing up when the Florida schools were dominant and when usc was too. They have no reason to think positively of ND. It's time to get a coach that doesn't have a POS offense.
People who are "competitive" do not attach themselves to another entity, in this case ND football, to do the competing for them. We are fans, we are not competing. There may be other aspects of your life where you are competing, but ND football isn't one of them.If ND could ever win consistently again you wouldn't see the bitching.
