Kelly would not be at ND for all that long . The pros ? After a NC game against Alabama in 2012 , a promising start to the 2014 season ( the controversial loss to #1 Florida State ,followed by a string of injuries and losses) , and then last year's very talented team being derailed by defeats by Clemson ,Stanford , Kelly had us in the championship talk ,a position ND hasn't been in since the early 90s ,you have to give him credit . But now ,where does Kelly and ND go from here ? This team is more talented than most of the schools we play ,yet ,we haven't put it together .

Kizer has pro potential , looks great at times ,then misses wide open receivers .The defense can't be all that bad , have some players. As far as Kelly , something has to change on both sides of the ball . Van Gorder is gone ,let's see if we make any progress the rest of the season

the truth of the matter is, as unpleasant as may be:

the best resolution to this 'mess' is that Kelly get a grip on things, regain the team's trust and teams confidence, names a top DC, makes whatever other necessary apols, and turns the team to the right direction!

That really is the best solution for all; especially the ole farts! It is a long shot.

Haven't seen him miss many wide open receivers. McShay has him as the top rated qb for NFL draft.

If Kelly is truly a great coach, then this is the time that he needs to prove it.

It's easy when you are on the top; it's a defining moment when you have to turn things around and at a time when the seat is hot.
