GT Got Dominated by ND Today

This team could use a blowout win Saturday and get some backup DL on that field . Seriously where is Hayes , Trumbetti, , Blankenship ???? Now I understand yesterday was a different animal but Day, Rochelle played almost every down. Can someone explain to me that 3 games in and no other DL/ DE has emerged ? Are these incoming Freshmen/ Soph class that poor BK mentioned that Hayes may RS ? I do not understand that . It was a huge win. My only question was with the score 30-7 I thought it was time to put the backups in in some positions. Day, Smith and Schmidt should not have been on that field . What a shame for Tranquill . He was a star out there . Tough kid. This week is important to get some more reps for other players and for Hunter Jr. to become a playmaker from the slot.
We just don't have the depth beyond the starters ..... this hasn't been a recruiting strength the past few seasons.

Two of their TDs were scored in literally garbage time against the prevent defense. When it mattered, they couldn't do squat except for one drive, despite the monstrous hype that made the Tech offense sound like the 89 Forty-Niners. If Tech's offense was so explosive, where was it for 59 minutes of the game? It was on the field but got it's *** handed to it by the Irish defense. End of story.[/QUOTE

That's not exactly what BK said after the game about the final couple of minutes. He never said once that it was unimportant garbage time. In fact, he said that the lads lost their focus and did not follow game long assignments. He also said that they need to finish and they did not. How important was their lack of focus? GT was one possession away from possibly tying the game. Let this be a teachable moment. Finish what you started. I would say with 99.9% certainty that BK had a nice chit chat with the defense about the ending.
