The amount of people saying saying Marcus Freeman should be fired if he makes the CFB playoff and loses in Round 1 will be a very very small vocal minority.

It's pretty impressive how well he's producing when you consider the injuries and that there isn't a single alpha player on the roster carrying the team. You got guys all producing across the board along with 2nd and 3rd teamers.

You’re right. I should have said there would be a large loss of faith in Freeman. Understandable to an extent, but sometimes you just lose a game. It wouldn’t change my opinion of him too much.

They're up there top 5 easily. We don't have exact figures.

I think Denbrock and Golden probably don't want to be a head coach and I'm not sure Denbrock is an NFL guy but if Golden gets a call from the NFL for another 1-2M more annually I'm sure he'd take a hard look at it.

Denbrock and Golden are two of the highest paid coordinators in the game ..

I think they are both on 4/$9M deals (roughly) making over $2M/season

Personally, I wouldn't be one calling for his firing. He's rebounded well from NIU. I've also stated this team has not been tested, the schedule was much softer than usual, so it's going to be interesting how well this team plays against the top 12.

I have confidence in the defense, but the passing game is still a big question mark. The offense has not been put into those 2nd and 3rd and long situations which is going to come up against the top echelon of teams they'll face in the playoffs.

Second you mentioned RL as per your quote:
"His senior year stats with LSU and his first year with Mike Denbrock are not as good as RLs numbers."

This is an anonymous public forum, I can respond to anything I want.

He started as a frosh at ASU in 2019. Stop being intentionally dense to try to give credit to only Kelly and Denbrock

They did a great job over the 20 mos they had him. They had a lot to work with

And for a coach like MF, it couldn't be any more ideal motivational fodder. He personally would be highly motivated, after bad losses destroyed both his previous seasons. And in a sense he's sort of fighting for his future, for his reputation. At a place like ND, you just can't keep having losses like that, they really do ruin your season. And he wasn't going to let it ruin this one, with a playoff berth still achievable. And good on MF if that's essentially how things have played out. Especially after getting over the hump vs. A&M. We're not going to waste it. And now, I feel like we're an absolute dark horse to win it all, god willing we beat USC, which I think we have too much momentum to not beat them.

If we lost to Southern Cal you can rest easy because we had no business being near the national title.

On the other hand I think Baylor is still alive to win the Big 12.
