Even if Notre Dame wins out

That game is being forgotten …and is what it is, a letdown game after the big W at TAM.

Many of the teams ahead of us play each other so there will be carnage. GT (who we beat) won against Miami. Ville beat Clemson. UVA beat Pitt. Another elimination game next week for UGA vs Tenn

We need to beat UVA handily. Our talent Army. Beat USC and we are in.
I'm not even sure that MOV matters. Maybe if we beat all three in overtime that could cost us the 5th seed, but we would still likely host one playoff game at 11-1.
1 loss and we are in for sure. But 2 losses, with that bad loss, we are likely out.

There is no bye for ND. 5 seed is the max.

I’d be very happy with a semifinal appearance.
Yes it's pretty cut and dried for us this year. I don't want to spend time on whatever oddball 4% scenario that ND can make the playoff at 10-2. I would rather point out how much better it would be for us under the Bowls/AP Poll system to win the national title at 12-1.

Notre Dame is 10-2//9-3 playing a normal SEC schedule, IMO.

9-3 playing a Florida or Georgia schedule is playoff worthy, IMO.

I'm uncertain how ND would fare in the SEC...but obviously it would be a lot harder than the current schedule.

Hence my recurring post about the NIU loss casting doubt when SOS is an issue.

Again, as long and ND convincingly wins out and gets in the playoffs, it's fine by me...let's then see where our Irish stand.

1 game at a time for now. Beat Virginia this week.
