AP Poll Projections

Yes. I stand by this 100%. Ive been way out in front of the rest of the industry on a number of issues regarding big picture ND football. My analysis IS better (and its free). Enjoy.
Yeah you are gonna have to show your work. Copying and pasting F+ isnt analysis. Bitching about signing more 5 stars isnt ground breaking insight. You bitched and moaned about recruiting yet ND's roster has NFL talent all over it. With the amount of injuries ND has had this year the defense is still elite. The offense is getting better. Again take several seats sport you dont know sh!t about football.

So now espn can shut the hell up about ND needing style points. 11-1 was always good enough to get in. Style points only matter if ND is 10-2 at least in terms of just making the playoffs.

Anywhere between 7 and 10 is fine. That's where we belong.

We moved up in both human polls
Didn't you tell this Forum weeks ago that 4-4 Northern Illinois, who lost to 3-5 Ball State yesterday, was a good team?

Dude, at least be fair evaluating Notre Dame Football. Call a spade a spade. I am a huge fan as well; however, not everything Notre Dame Football does is elite and wonderful.

You are not a ND fan. You blew your cover multiple times on here. Time to pack it up and move on. No one buys your bullsh!t sport.

Teams ranked ahead of ND right now we still got left
#4Ohio State vs #3 Penn State
#7Tennessee vs #2 Georgia (loser has 2 losses)
#5 Texas vs Texas A&M (loser has 2 losses)

ND is in a super strong postion. Those of use who are old, will never stop sweating bullets over going to USC to end the season with the CFP on the line

I’m hoping for some Gator magic the next four weeks. They probably would have beaten Tennessee but their QB got hurt and they’re coming off of a bye.

@Texas
@Georgia
LSU
Mississippi

Didn’t you try to excuse USC’s 4 losses?

have ND ranked 12-13 with both Indiana and Exas A&M jumping ahead of ND. If this is in fact true, the NIU loss is hurting ND more than the win vs A&M is helping them.

Pollsters may feel that A&M is better than they were in Week 1.

The moral of the story is don't lose to crappy MAC level teams.

Of course the NIU loss hurts. No excuse. But it is kind of ridiculous putting TAMU ahead of ND.

Polling is part of the corruption and farce that is the NCAA.

Memphis has no business being ranked #25 when Navy beat them and is unranked (coaches poll). I wonder how many coaches actually know that Navy beat Memphis. AP gave more votes to Memphis as well.

I would not put TAM ahead of Notre Dame either. Alabama I would, though, based on observations.

Truth be told, the polls are a joke. It’s why I enjoy the NFL. There are no polls.

I agree, head to head trumps everything. If you lose to a team, with all things being equal, you shouldn't be placed ahead of them.

Yeah I think they are a good mac team. They lost a bunch of close games. Good defense poor offense

Dude at least be fair 🤣🤣

You harp on one game all year when we have played 8 now.

Espn fpi - 5th
Ap - 8th
Coaches - 9th

I've said we should be between 7 and 10. Are you stupid or something?

Based on observations lol

Didn't you say how good of a job that Chip did at UCLA and how great of a coach Norvell is ?

Don't throw stones with your stupid takes

I stopped there.

Don’t get me started on this head to head BS.

I’m thinking of the greatest con of all time.

Bobby Bowden and his Criminoles over the superior Holtz led Irish.

That was when I REALLY realized the corruption of the NCAA…it lives in infamy.

I'd agree polling has limited value, I can see why someone would put Texas A&M in front of ND after last night's game. The first game of the season was an eternity ago. One team can improve at a faster rate over a team it lost to over the course of half a season.

That is a subjective way of interpreting it, of course selectively used by SEC apologists…don’t fall for their sophistry.

For me the entire season counts…which is why soccer is superior, a true league competition, not property contest.

Look, even so, I get that perhaps a team might make some argument of higher ranking than a head to head opponent it lost too…but this is not the case with TAMU vs ND.

ND is now routine opponents, albeit a weaker schedule…but the eye test is decent…and still, ND did beat TAMU when ND had issues with RL, the OL, Denbrock, and MF.

Issues that culminated in a loss to NIU, but things have improved…and that too was an eternity ago!

😉

ND dominated FSU for 95 % of the game and only a pass that slipped between the hands of a ND defender, resulting in an FSU TD made the score closer.

Anyone with an objective brain who watched the entire game knows that ND was the better team ………… by far

Naming FSU # 1 was a sympathetic political concession to Bobby Bowden

I would say ND dominant 100% of the game. But you are correct.

Yep, they wanted to give Bobby Bowden a title. Total B.S.

WGAFF about these polls. They mean didly squat. Coaches/AP mean nothing. It all comes down to the playoff committee rankings which start in a week or two. Go 11-1 and ND is in, lose another one and they are done. Simple as that

Bullshit. I don’t.

Notre Dame won on the road against TAM. TAM has no business being ranked head of TAM, IMO.

I agree, but you don't think the committee is even slightly influenced by the AP and/or coaches poll?

So you believe TAM has improved quicker/more than ND? Based on what criteria?

Golsons takes are very simple:

Just watch the hacks at ISD and at IB who are an extension of Notre Dame's PR wing.
  • Every opponent ND plays is good
  • Every player ND recruits is good/underrated by the services
  • Every scheme ND deploys is good
  • Every coach ND hires is good
  • Every decision ND makes is good
  • Every win is good
  • Every loss is good
  • Every person involved in ND is good
  • The conference is good
  • The schedule is good
once any of those players/coaches/etc. leave Notre Dame, then its open-season for bashing (with the benefit of hindsight of course) lol
Been listening to IB for a while. Coming from the perspective of. D1 football player. 2 yr NFL practice squad player and CFL. 24 year coach. 3 at the college level . 10 as a HC. And almost all the rest as a coordinator - you couldn' t be more wrong!

LMAO.

Coaches poll doesn't agree with your narrative.

They think that TX Am win was very impressive
So much for that Texas A&M win being impressive. Now try to tell us how they lost to a really good South Carolina team. You're such a tool. It's a long season, and A&M still has Texas left. They may not end up in the top 15.

For ND to drop 2 spots in the polls, it's clear the loss to NIU hurts ND, and A&M's loss hurts ND as well, as it diminishes the only quality win on the schedule.

Louisville's another quality win. They're now #25 after beating Clemson. Their only losses are by 7 points each to ND, Miami and SMU.

Went up in the coaches. Louisville is now top 25 so another quality win. Army will be number 3

How is Aubruns offense doing since you told me that it was better than NDs ?

What a tool
