Other wealthy nations ration healthcare based on priority/need, the US rations healthcare based on wealth. If you are very wealthy you love the US healthcare system .. for the rest of us .. it's extremely expensive, it bankrupts us, or we are priced out altogether.

Every single industrialized country has a form of government funded healthcare that covers all of its citizens. Those people hold on to it as a form of pride and it's political suicide for ANY politician to run against it. Nobody is trying to imitate the US free for all system.

Bernie Sander's medicare for all plan actually SAVES american tax payers $2T over 10 years. Taxes go up but the cost savings from not having to pay copays deductions and premiums is a net savings to 99% of taxpayers.

Most people don't know this though because the major media outlets in the US do not cover it or even talk about this (it's all propaganda and fear mongering).

The issue of 1.5 million illegals in the country, Dreamers and others, would have been addressed through amnesty in exchange for funding of a permanent barrier wall. They are linked because the lack of a physical barrier (Wall) is the main cause of illegals entering the US.
Estimates range between 10-20 million depending on your source.

You have to address the cause (lack of a wall), in order to limit unfettered access to anyone who wants to enter our country. The effect (perpetual flow of illegals) would then be addressed.

The bill you refer to would have granted amnesty to 1.5 million illegals, YES. BUT, it would have funded a 25$ Billion barrier Wall that would have kept out millions of future Democrat voters.This is the reason why not 1 Democrat voted for the compromise immigration bill that you refer to.

The wall funding/DACA deal was doomed by moderate Republicans, not Democrats. Remember, the Democrat leadership had a deal in place and were committed to negotiations. For reasons unknown, this didn't sit well with moderate Republicans.The moderates knew there were two bills in committee, so they went after a discharge petition to force the bills under consideration to a floor vote and were 2 votes short of the 218 needed votes. The Republican leadership, spooked that more time could mean the moderates getting those final 2 votes, agreed to vote on the bills in committee in a week. Democratic leadership felt betrayed. Factions of the Republican party that were still negotiating the all conservative bill felt betrayed as well. The votes occurred, and both bills both went down in flames.

The future Democratic voters line is sad. Very sad.

The deal you refer to was NEVER going to be voted for by Democrats as long as it contained funding for a barrier wall. That's a fact.
Not one of the 197 Democrats in the House voted for the bill that contained funding for the wall. Not One. That's a fact.

My EX daughter in law..her parents...on SSI. Both. The dad rides a Harley. They both function like normal people. So I asked why are they on the ssi. Well the answer...some day the dad MIGHT not be able to walk so well. WTF does that even mean. That could be anyone. The mom...i said why she on SSi. Well she feels good today...not so well tomorrow. Then great the next day. I said yep...it's called getting ****ing old.

Time for voter I’d , and revising all voter registration lists. Our elections are no longer honest !
At my age I have seen our country steadily decline in all the values morally and legally that made America
The greatest country that ever existed.
Unfortunate, The Progressives have progressively moved and keep moving our country in a very Dark Age ! Unfortunately, too many of the liberals have no clue what is taking place !

On the other hand the people who are sitting on SSI with...who the **** knows what being wrong with them...yet fully capable.

My EX daughter in law..her parents...on SSI. Both. The dad rides a Harley. They both function like normal people. So I asked why are they on the ssi. Well the answer...some day the dad MIGHT not be able to walk so well. WTF does that even mean. That could be anyone. The mom...i said why she on SSi. Well she feels good today...not so well tomorrow. Then great the next day. I said yep...it's called getting ****ing old.

You know what they really are? They are NOT disabled!! They are ****ing LAZY.

The above example there are tons and tons and tons.

Section 8 abusers. We pay for their medical, rent, electric,
On top of that they get $750 a month for the balance of that horse shit. So ultimately they pay avout seven dollars per month rent..11 dollars for utilities...WTFE.

There are people in GENUINE NEED of assistance.

But again...the above examples for outweigh the true needy. It's not even close and it's pathetic and disgusting.

Work, earn, spend...

But I’m talking about the fraction that really need it. If you just take it away, those people are really going to suffer.

There should be better decisions on people who are on SSI and who aren’t. It’s shouldn’t be for the “aches and pain” lazy excuses.

You're being petty in this engagement. Of course I didn't mean 100% across the board.

We have an aunt who is mentally retarded. Her mother...my grear grandmother took care of her as long as she could...once she got older she could only do it for our of seven days. Then it was three. Then two. Until she couldn't pick her up any more and woukd just go to see her.

She had a fair amount of money and contributed a lot to that center to help not only her daughters cause but the center overall.
Ultimately that particular center was shut down due to lack of funding....but the state has no problem comimg up with hundreds of millions to keep pro sports teams in a cozy new stadium or build ball parks for a minor league baseball for an area.

Yep..real ****ed up indeed.

Again...this example I speak of is a tiny wee fraction of society.

Abuse and use of other people's money is rampant by those fully capable of contributing to society. Those fat out weigh the truly needy. It's not even close.
